"**Hotel Review: Aesthetic Excellence Overshadowed by Comfort Failures** Our recent stay at this supposedly 5-star hotel left us with mixed feelings. While the hotel clearly invested heavily in aesthetics, creating a visually stunning environment that looks fantastic in photos, the design seemed to prioritize form over function, ultimately compromising our comfort. Sadly, this became a deal-breaker for us. The most glaring issue was the room's ventilation and temperature control—or lack thereof. We visited in early March, and the entire building was excessively heated. Despite being from a tropical country and accustomed to warm weather, I found myself sweating in shorts and a singlet. The staff, though polite and eager to help, seemed powerless to address the issue. They provided us with a small portable AC unit, which was better than nothing, but it was clear from their demeanor that this was a recurring problem for guests. Sleeping was a nightmare. The only way to cool the room slightly was to keep the windows open, but this meant having the blinds and curtains up, allowing outside noise and light to flood in. The choice was between sleeping in a sauna-like environment or enduring the disturbances from outside. Needless to say, we had a terrible night's sleep and were relieved to check out after just one night. On a positive note, the service was impeccable. The staff truly deserve recognition for their efforts to assist guests despite the limitations they faced. The breakfast spread was also a highlight—delicious, varied, and reasonably priced, especially if you inform them in advance about adding breakfast to your stay. The room amenities were top-notch, and the spaciousness of the room added to the overall sense of luxury. We got a family suite which was plenty spacious and came with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 bathtubs and a living area. However, these positives couldn’t outweigh the discomfort caused by the poor temperature regulation. During our trip, we stayed in four different cities across China, and this was the only hotel that lacked proper air conditioning and heating controls. For a 5-star establishment, this is a significant oversight. In conclusion, while the hotel excels in aesthetics, service, and amenities, the lack of a well-thought-out solution for room temperature is a major drawback. Management needs to address this issue with a long-term fix. After all, no matter how beautiful a hotel looks, it’s hard to appreciate it when you can’t get a good night’s rest."

"The hotel is in a great location, across the street from the Hebei Provincial Museum. It is easy to find by driving. There is free parking. The hotel environment is clean and the room layout is perfect, elegant and romantic. The staff are also warm and thoughtful, which makes people feel very comfortable. Xiao Wang and Xiao Shang in the front office are kind and considerate, and proficient in their business; Zheng Qiyue in the restaurant is a particularly enthusiastic girl who introduced the restaurant's dishes to us and gave us gifts when we left. The breakfast is very good, the dishes are rich, and you can also eat some Hebei special snacks. It was a really pleasant stay."

The front desk was clean before check-in, and Miss Huang Xiaoyuan arranged the room type I liked, and the check-in was very comfortable. The next day, I went to the breakfast room for breakfast, and their service made my friends and I feel doubly heartwarming. The little girl at the door arranged a quiet seat, and each person had a special fish fillet porridge. Then the restaurant manager Zhang Xing visited us and introduced us to the one-day tour attractions around Shijiazhuang. After we finished our meal, Miss Wang Jing prepared warm snacks and wet wipes for us to use when we traveled. She really thought about the guests. "This time I came to Shijiazhuang, I chose Ximei Hotel to stay. The room was clean and sanitary, and the mattress was moderately soft and hard. The family room we stayed in was very suitable for my parents to bring me (yes, I am a child), full of childishness. "As soon as I entered the lobby, the fragrance was high-end and not pungent. The lady named Liu at the front desk was very active and enthusiastic, like a friend. The public area was planted in a patchwork of greenery, and even the elevator room was decorated with art paintings. The room window opened to the city landmark/garden waterscape, the sound insulation was super good, and it was so quiet at night that it felt like hiding in a paradise. I have stayed in so many hotels, but this one really engraved ”guest needs” into its bones! From stepping into the door to checking out, every moment was gently received~ Next time I come to this city, I must choose this place! A place you want to visit again after staying once!"
