Delightful four days at the Rob Roy. Lovely location close to a pedestrian walk by the river into the town and set in a small wood. Rooms a little dated and definitely need more elect sockets. This is offset by brilliant staff who were so attentive and accommodating. We were in a coach party and enjoyed the same choice of excellent food as guests in the alacarte restaurant. No hesitation in going back tomorrow to the Rob Roy

Four night stay at the Rob Roy. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The food absolutely wonderful. Plenty of choice. Well prepared and well served. A lovely room. Most rooms on the ground floor which was an added bonus. Only downside was the squeaky floorboards but you can put up with those in this absolutely wonderful hotel.

We stayed at the Rob Roy hotel as part of a coach trip to the Trossachs for 4 nights. The hotel is very clean and tidy with rooms that meet your needs. Would be ideal for walkers, short stays and exploring tours. The rooms have comfortable beds, telephone, TV, hairdryer, desk, information pack, USB plugs, luggage rask, toiletries (built in), fresh towels and tea/coffee facilities so meet all your basic needs for your stay. There is a bar, restaurant and lots of seating areas around the hotel. Lift access to the upper floor in the bedroom block. The buildings are split with the reception, bar, lounge and hall in one half and the bedrooms a short walk via a covered outdoor walkway. We had a half-board included but we were never disappointed. The buffet breakfast offered a good choice of hot and cold and catered for gluten free on request. The evening meals were a 3 course set menu with four choices for each. All the meals that we had were piping hot and very tasty with the choice of local dish if you wished to try them. Again gluten free available. The staff have all been very accommodating and friendly. The hotels location is ideal as you can walk into Abbeyfoye which is approx a 30min walk for any last minute needs and close by road to other cities and attractions. The hotel also offered two local artists in the form of entertainment with Big Gary who playing some traditional folk songs and Chris singing a mix of music from the 60 to today. Both were very entertaining. Overall a very nice hotel with great food and staff. Would come back again.

Just returned from a package deal weekend break at the hotel. The accommodation is linked to the main building by a canopy getting to the building is cold yes. It's February wear a jacket! It's not really an issue. The rooms are lovely and warm some stuff is dated but everything is very clean and functional and the beds and pillows comfy. The staff are very good and friendly. The food breakfast, lunch and supper was hot and lovely. There was a good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The hotel is a great place to unwind in and we came home thankful for having a very relaxing weekend break. As said we were on a package deal that we thought was very good value for money. Only one thing room 67 toilet seat would not stay up and just needed adjusting but a tiny problem but everything was fab and would definitely stay again.

All rooms are accessed by a long covered tunnel and our room was the furthest away from the main hotel. Although the food was good that was the only positive thing I could say about it. Old and needs updating. Would not recommend or return unfortunately
