Spent two nights here with my sister and our six kids. It was bad. We booked two apartments. After receiving the keys we stepped out of the lift onto the 12th floor and into a cloud of building dust and the floor covered in building debris. The apartment next ours had started a full renovation that day and the builders had the door open and they were using a jack hammer to remove the entire tiled floor. So it was back down to reception to change apartments. The jack hammering was LOUD and it could be heard throughout the entire building for the entire time. After one night I complained. Why would they allow this kind of major work to occur during the school holidays is beyond me. They knew it was going to be noisy because they put a notification in the lift. It is irresponsible to not advise people that this is happening. I certainly would not have booked it had I known. They said we could leave. I’m not sure whether they were offering to refunded our money as this was not mentioned. I was unable to find any other accommodation for 8 people for one night during the school holidays. There is also major construction across the road that will be ongoing until 2027. I appreciate external construction this isn’t their fault but it should be communicated so people can make an informed decision BEFORE booking. The apartment I stayed in was dirty and there were some considerable safety concerns. The beds had been made up with sheets only. It’s the middle of winter! As a mother of three kids it really irritates me when I arrive and then have to pull grotty and stained blankets from wardrobes and make up the beds. We aren’t camping! One of the smoke detectors was missing and there were cupboards with electrical cables, pipes and insulation accessible to anyone who opened them. The air conditioner was full of grime and mould. There was a toasty maker in the kitchen with greasy cheese and ants clawing out the back of it. Anything left on the kitchen bench for five minutes would be crawling with ants. The base of the dishwasher was full of dirty water and the oven didn’t work. I’ve added photos to support my review. The windows were filthy and mouldy. The exhaust fans in the bathrooms were clogged with dust. There were random personal items under the beds. My 10 year old daughter pulled out some deodorant and hair care products. Fortunately, she didn’t find anything more sinister! There are hundreds of places to choose from when staying on the Gold Coast. Do yourself a favour and don’t stay here.

I received a phone call Friday 18/10 at 1:30pm to say that we needed to move accommodation yesterday due to a ‘plumbing’ issue to our apartment. I spoke with Chelsea. She arranged for us to be accommodated at the Sunbird Beach Resort. Chelsea said that it was a nicer apartment than the one we were staying at. Upon arrival, my wife found the apartment not cleaned, mould in the fridge and with plumbing issues in the en-suite. The site manager there that she spoke to let it slip said that we were moved due to ‘overbooking’. I am extremely disappointed and angry that Chelsea lied to me yesterday, more than likely due to the fact that accommodation price was hiked up and some else paid more for our room due to events on the Gold Coast. I will not be recommending your accommodation to anyone! My wife was looking forward to a nice weekend away with our daughter. Very bad experience.

Fantastic location, not directly in the thick of it but still close enough to the hustle and bustle to go for a nice walk on the esplanade into the restaurants and shops. There are some areas that need improvement however. 1. The toilet in the main bathroom leaks water. 2. There is no housekeeping during your stay. We were there for over a week and no one came to restock essentials e.g toilet paper, garbage bags, washing detergent etc. or even vacuum the floors. I don’t recall seeing anywhere upon booking that this was the case. If I had I’d have known beforehand to buy some of the essentials and call the desk to request a vacuum as needed - rather than spend each day wondering if todays the day they’re coming to give us more garbage bags and do a quick vacuum. 3. Ants!! The kitchen was riddled with ants. If you left anything on the bench (food or not) for longer than a minute, it was at risk of being carried off by a colony of teeny tiny little ants. 4. The manager (male) randomly came into our room one day. He unlocked the door with his key, came in and asked if we called for room service/hotel manager. We said no and he kept insisting that we had. We again said we didn’t and he eventually went to leave; not before coming back in and again asking if we’d called him until he finally accepted that he must had misheard the room number and left. At first we thought it was an odd encounter, but as the day went on the more uncomfortable i felt with the situation. What if we had been out? What if we were sleeping? Or in the shower? Or god forbid doing the horizontal tango! He didn’t knock, he didn’t ask before entering, he just unlocked the door and came right in. He almost seemed shocked that we were there, on the couch. 5. The bathrooms have no exhaust fans and the en-suite window doesn’t open. 6. There was no plug provided for the bathtub. My husband had to MacGyver up a solution to prevent the water draining out while we bathed our son. 7. There is only 1 split system aircon in the entire unit, located in the living room and struggled to cool down the main bedroom, leaving our son sweating in his sleep all night. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms but they’ve been adjusted so you can’t set them to ‘high’. I’d definitely consider staying here again, purely for the location and view alone. However knowing what I know now, I would be more prepared. BYO garbage bags, detergent, dishwashing tabs, toilet paper, bath plugs etc.

Myself, daughter and Grandchildren stayed 9 days at the Seacrest. Our stay started with the fridge and air-conditioning not working to there full capacity, we arrived on the Saturday, and they didn't replace the fridge until the Monday and gave us a portable air-conditioner to cool a two bedroom apartment down in 30 degree heat. Oh did I mention my daughter's youngest is 6months old! It stated that the room was sound proof, which it wasn't and we had to put up with renovations in the apartment above the room my 6 month old grandson slept in! The whole apartment was filthy, I had to wash everything we used. We had one tea towel, one hand towel, no face washers. There were ***** hairs on the floor. There was so much more I could write a book, but I'm sure you get my point. Please think twice about staying, and don't let the photos on the site fool you, our apartment was nothing like the photos unfortunately. I have posted photos of the filth, oh and when they replaced the fridge, I was told that they were waiting for guests to leave so they could take the fridge from that room and you guessed it, they didn't even clean it for us. Grr PS, Zoom in on the photos and you will see how dirty everything was. Cheers

I wasn't going to post a review but after your lack of empathy on checking out, here it is. I spoke with David verbally on the morning we left as well as sent him an email outlining my concerns and was disgusted that he did not have any empathy. Here is what I sent... We cannot thank you enough...or really very much... for our stay at Seacrest Beachfront Holiday Apartments. I will start by saying our children enjoyed the indoor pool and games room. We liked the ease of coming and going at our own leisure, even with the very difficult layout of the carpark. The room on entry looked modern and had everything we needed, including dirty unmaintained bathrooms with broken shower fittings. The shower hose in the main bathroom is coming apart and unsafe for use. The shower head in the ensuite is being held together by zip ties. Bunnings sell these at a cost of around $60 each to replace. There was mould in the shower with the bath, which I took the liberty of removing. The air vents did not look like they had been cleaned in a very long time. My husband cleaned the ensuite vent for you. The kitchen was packed full of items, most of which was not relevant for a holiday rental. Cupboards and drawers full of plastic containers and party platters. I couldn't leave them the way they were so I've sorted them for you. We were disappointed to find there were no quilts or doonas for the beds. It took the very old blankets (in need of replacing) to keep us slightly comfortable while sleeping. The beds themselves seemed comfortable and we managed to get some sleep after our busy days touring and exploring the Gold Coast. That is until early in the morning on multiple mornings when the rubbish truck came to empty the huge skip bin that sat outside our window. Even on the 4th floor, we could hear the bin being emptied. My favourite wake up was at 455am on Saturday morning when we were woken by the rubbish truck. Surely this is not a regular occurrence. I can honestly say that I would not recommend anyone stay in these apartments unless things drastically change. There is an amount of maintenance required and your cleaners need further training to bring the cleanliness to a suitable standard. I know good staff are hard to find in this industry but so are good reviews. Some suggestions for our room... • Replace both shower heads • provide extra garbage bags for the bin • provide instructions on how to use both the dishwasher and oven, as there is no writing left on either appliance to see what the knobs or buttons are for • Supply quilts for the beds • Replace all linen, including sheets (that have holes worn into them) and fleece blankets. We use Tony Colyer in South Australia, there must be a similar supplier in QLD. • Check all power points and light switches are safely secured to the wall as some are hanging off and sparking when used • Secure toilet roll holder to the wall in ensuite As accommodation managers ourselves in a caravan park on the York

All I have to say is Nope, never again. I can not even fathom how dissatisfied I was with this place. I have stayed in many hotels and apartments all have been extremely accommodating and pleasant. Now I am not one to complain because I know first hand what dealing with disgruntled customers can be like. Firstly I’d like to say if you are going to advertise your accommodations on other forms of booking sites maybe communicate clearly what the terms are so that, that site can advise the customer. We booked through ******* back in Feb this year, we booked a two bedroom OCEAN VIEW apartment. The pictures looked amazing and wow loan be hold book now, pay at the property. Amazing for a young couple trying to save for a holiday. Mind you I booked this trip for my 30th birthday and I did request if possible a good view, didn’t care what floor but a decent view. About 2 weeks prior to the trip I get a notification that the payment for the entire booking tried to be deducted. I call back and explain and I get oh sorry no it is in OUR T&Cs that it’s to be made a month prior. That’s fine except I booked through *******? So again communication is key. Anyway I paid even though I shouldn’t have, should have read the red flag 🚩. I spoke to the lady on the phone and expressed again that it was a special occasion and if possible could we get a decent room. “Yep no worries, I’ll put that request in”. My sister and her partner booked the same accommodation through the same site and checked in 2 days before us and to their excitement wow an amazing view. So you can imagine how I was feeling, so excited to have an incredible view. Well that’s when it all goes to crap!! On the day of check in I called first thing to see if we could get in early as it was a Monday and not really a busy weekend. David the front desk person said 1pm, ok great 1 hour before normal that’s fine. Around 10am I get a call to say you can come check in within the hour, perfect we finished breakfast and headed down. We get there just before 11 and I get the look of I told you within the next hour, yes I know David it’s 10:45 so I’m in the hour. Anyway we get up to the room and my heart broke, the view I was so excited for didn’t even exist. The pictures I booked from were not my reality. To say I balled my eyes out is an understatement. About 30 minutes later I get myself together and head down to reception. When speaking with David about how disappointed I was, and how I made two seperate requests and not one had been heard, I was fobbed off and told sorry we have nothing left. So the beautiful Seaview I paid for was nothing more than a partial restricted view. The sorry for the inconvenience written at the top of the exiting note was just the cherry on top.
