Svinøya Rorbuer

This Inn had some very tired staff. No one smiled and we guess they had had a very busy summer Breakfast buffet was above average. Dinner delicious Our 2 bedroom cottage was spacious. Fireplace stove was not working. Freat location for day trips

Our company arranged a trip for all our emplyees this October and Svinøya rorbuer made all the arrangments. We planned for some actitivies, some conferences and nice dinners. Everything including transport, dining, activities like rib tour & sauna, conference room was arranged by them. All we had to do was to follow the scheduled plan. Their restaurant Børsen was excellent and the accomodation was also great in rorbu practically on the sea. Thanks for having us!

Very authentic Rorbu. Nice view on a small Harbour arm. Cosy place, with private terasse. Very good dinner in the restaurant Borsen. This was the best rorbu on our trip to Norway. Added bonus in front of our window was a pair of seagulls protecting their 3 nestlings.

Great place for our family of 7 - 4br, 2 full baths, fully equipped kitchen. Sauna with deck to jump into fjord. Felt brand new, modern. Highly rated restaurant on site. Roof jumping sauna too. Tons of activity options - on water, in water, hiking etc.

We were booked in here by Nordic Travel (Australia) for 3 nights. We were of the understanding it was a stand alone cabin, we were in the middle of a row of three units. There was a coffee machine supplied but no coffee was supplied, we were supplied with 2 tea bags & 2 coffee sachets for 3 nights. The dish cloth supplies was well used, we were supplied with 2 very narrow single beds - requested by tour company (word of warning - if mattress is overhanging pull bed out from wall & push mattress back - I fell out of bed because it overhung the edge of bed). We were booked on early ferry (6am) on last morning & were each supplied with a breakfast pack which consisted of a bottle of water, small muesli bar, small mandarin & two sandwiches which had a small lettuce leaf & a spoonful of coleslaw on it - big disappointment considering what is served at breakfast in restaurant, we were not given a choice of filling (I asked if we could choose). The unit was roomy & warm.

Good lodge to stay in Lofoten that almost every local tour can pick you up here and more chance to see the Northern light when you about to go to bed. But I want to put the five stars to the Børsen Spiseri because the staff members help us check in and connected the Northern light tour guide (We booked the package including lodge and Northern light tour that there is no directly connecting method to the guide for us). I really appreciate them to help us during their busy work.

Fantastic Rorbuer. We booked a real house with 2 rooms and all facilities. As it is in the other side of the bridge, market is a 20 minutes walk so is better take your food with you as there is only the Rorbuer restaurant that cost an average of Euro 40 a dish. You can walk on the island for a while to go to the statue Fiskerkona que protege os pescadores e fica na ponta da ilha. The buildings are pretty and the nature from there superb. You have to walk to the port in central city as there is no public bus there so if you can is better to have a car. The reception close at 16:00 in winter but you can pick up your house or cabin keys in the mail box at the entrance. Staff is helpful and kind. Great place to stay a couple of days.
