The spring night was cool and the breeze was blowing. I was really shocked to choose to stay at the Xiangxi Crown Hotel. There was a quiet and peaceful goat runway downstairs. The front desk lady Cao Dan provided great service. I was very satisfied with the room she arranged for me during check-in. The front desk service was enthusiastic and took the initiative to upgrade our room. The interior was newly decorated, the bedding was clean and tidy, and the hygiene was good. I chose the Crown Hotel because of its unique charm. The front desk lady Cao Dan provided warm and friendly service, and was thoughtful and considerate!

Excellent services. The location is next to the highway. A 1.8 km walk to the scenic spot but it’s worth. You can explore nearby local cuisine and various other local artifacts in the town. I booked my room on the 13th floor to get the best view of the scenic spot and was worth it. The management arrangement pickup and drop off services at the railway station which makes things easier. Overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Will highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location of the hotel is right in the center of the ancient town . They have concierge to pick us up from the drop off point . It is a short distance of walk to reach the hotel . The view from the room is perfect and we even got upgraded with a balcony room . We are also offered a complimentary pick up and drop off from train station . The only downside about this hotel is overall the facility is slightly old but pretty well kept . If you want an early rest just take note the music level is really loud from outside and no much sound proof . Music will stop right at 1130pm.

Really nicely decorated hotel. Id say one of the best hotels in this region. Given only four stars as our room was quite strong with cigarette smell. We informed the staff about it and they said they would send someone to fix it. I think what they did was just opening the window which made it worse as the cigarette smell was stronger when we came back possibly because we were on the second floor and someone was smoking outside. We didnt bother to tell them again as it was late and we just wanted to sleep. There was also some sticky stain on the floor that we asked them to clean it but it was still there when we came back.
Staff very friendly. A tea set is also provided.

We had the best service of our trip at this hotel- they truly go beyond and above. It was only a 15min Didi from the train station, also the bus shuttle from HSR to the city is right in front of the hotel. The location is perfectly situated at one side of the main bridge, but a nice 5min stroll away such that you are away from the noise on the main ***** (in front of the river). Also, no mosquitoes. We initially booked a riverfront hotel but I am SO glad that we changed to this hotel after actually walking the whole tourist ***** on foot. Legit the cobblestones near the river are terrible, and cars can’t get in so it’d have been a nightmare.
Next, Xiao Dai （小代） who helped us and the manager were all so sweet. 小代answered all our WeChat questions extremely promptly (literally 1-2mins), and when we asked about the free laundry self use machine onsite, she offered to have us leave it in our room and do it for us so we could go out and explore. I thought this was truly above and beyond- she picked the clothes up from our room, washed them (separately as well for colours and whites), hung them and sent us a photo, dried them and returned them to us folded and freshly laundered. We were simply floored by this level of service. They are so so so kind and I can’t recommend this hotel enough for their kindness and eagerness to ensure your comfort during your stay.
We stayed on the 7th floor in a suite and it was very comfortable- the bed itself and pillows were just right. Sheets felt high quality, pillows not too stiff and high, duvet was fluffy and nice. I liked that the toilet is separated from the shower and vanity- the soft but bright filtered lighting for the bathroom vanity was amazing for getting ready (for the girls who are sick of hotels with dark lighting and can’t do their make up). The room was spacious and although some aspects were a bit outdated, it was clean large and comfortable - we were so happy with our room.
They also gave our group of 3 girls 4 room cards which allows for each card to breakfast. The breakfast ayis were so nice and made eggs freshly your way when asked. The cucumber and radish pickles were yummy and we really liked the corn soup and congee as well as all the vegetable dishes. The selection was good for us, as we like clean and simple, easy to digest and nutritious foods in the morning.
Oh yeah they also sent us to the HSR on check out without charge, in the hotel’s car. They were so prompt in getting us to the HSR and the driver was really considerate, safe and careful. Literally the most calm drive we’ve experienced in China.
Side note- the gym is massive and looks largely unused but the equipment is good, there are weights and cables and everything. There’s also a pool table and table tennis. A yoga room complete with a good amount of gear and mats.

The service is very considerate. After booking on Ctrip, the hotel contacted in advance to inquire about the arrival time of the high-speed rail. The pick-up and drop-off service is really great.
Opposite the hotel is the Xiangxi Natural History Museum, which is worth a visit. The hotel is about five or six minutes’ drive from Furong Town Scenic Area. The hotel provides pick-up and drop-off service to the scenic area, so there is no need to worry at all.
There is a twelve-story branch in the ancient town, where you can enter the viewing balcony for free to admire the waterfall. After the tour, you can go to the hotel's sixth-floor garden to make tea around the stove for free. It is a wonderful day.

I made an appointment with a good friend to relax together on the weekend. A classmate had stayed in Erzhuo Valley before and said the environment was very good. The two of us came directly after get off work on Friday. There was a butler to pick us up after getting off the high-speed rail. The journey to the valley was also quite short.
As a Cantonese, I really like Hunan cuisine. I had 5 meals in the past two days and was amazed by several dishes. I couldn't forget them after eating them! ! I also secretly asked what chef was hired here. The first one was spare ribs, which were fried with tea leaves 😍 It was really special and delicious! ! The second one was peanut sprouts. It was the first time I ate peanut sprouts. When it was served, I thought it was lotus root tips. The crispy taste was very good. The third one was the giant salamander that must be eaten here. I had two methods, hot pot and dry pot. The hot pot one was a bit similar to the crispy Anhui fish in Guangdong, and the dry pot one was more flavorful and fragrant. The breakfast was very nutritious, and there was also giant salamander porridge in it, which was very fresh and sweet.
The itinerary for Saturday was to go rafting. There is a Mengdong River rafting nearby. I heard that it is the best rafting in the world. It is quite exciting. It is also my first time rafting. It is quite fun. I was a little tired after rafting. I lay down in the room to rest on Sunday morning. I also took a photo of the light and shadow. When I opened the curtains, I could see the endless green mountains. I planned to go swimming in the afternoon. There is also a very beautiful infinity pool in the second phase, but I made a mistake and forgot to put the swimsuit in the suitcase. I will make up for it next time.
Cows and horses who are used to seeing high-rise buildings really love this original ecological environment and successfully get rid of the smell of work. I am already on the way back to Guangdong. I will record the beautiful memories of this weekend for myself.

We visited during quiet season (Oct 7 just as golden week ended) and the hotel was practically empty. The owner called us and helped instruct the taxi how to get to the hotel. (It should be 20 yuan to get there via taxi from the train station). The entrance has not been finished building so you have to carefully navigate down some rubble. There also isn’t an elevator in the hotel. As the hotel was empty, the owner showed us 4 different rooms and was happy to let us have any of them at no extra charge. We chose one on the second floor so we wouldn’t have to climb the stairs with our luggage. The hotel is a 4 minute walk to one of the main entrances of Furong Ancient Town. With it not being directly in the town, it’s probably more quiet that other hotels in the area. The view is quite nice, on the left you can see Furong Ancient Town, on the right there is a lot of construction happening so not much to see. The construction was not loud during our stay. However there was a chicken next door that began making noise at 5am and didn’t stop for hours, it was excruciating. I won’t blame the hotel for this though! The bathroom amenities were great, the room was very spacious and comfortable and the owner was very kind.

We brought children to Phoenix to play, and accidentally chose to stay at Shuxi B&B for two nights. I felt some surprises:
(1) Chinese style, large room space, located on the edge of the Li River, but not noisy at all, very quiet, is a better choice for ”quiet in the middle of noisy”;
(2) The homestay opened in July 2024, the hardware facilities are very new, the mattress is not hard or soft, suitable for the general population;
(3) There is an atrium courtyard and roof viewing platform, which is two highlights. There is a laundry room and tea room. It is convenient to cool clothes on the roof viewing platform.
(4) The boss is a person in his 40s, a local, strong, bold, enthusiastic and familiar with the ”mountain attractions” around the ancient city. The next day, he took us into the mountains, climbing the mountains, catching the market, watching the waterfall, eating farmers' vegetables, catching crabs... Adults and children have a full experience!
In short, two days of accommodation and play, the family experience is great.

I am very satisfied with this stay! The environment of the homestay is very clean and tidy, the decoration style is warm and distinctive, and the care and attention can be felt in every detail. The facilities are complete and the bedding is comfortable. What surprised me most is that the location of the B&B is very convenient and there are many delicious foods around. The staff were very enthusiastic, and were very considerate from the communication before check-in to the service after check-in. They gave us a lot of practical suggestions and help, making our journey smoother and more enjoyable. If I have the chance to come here again, I will definitely choose this B&B!

RRainyeengloThe hotel is close to the Fog bridge in the Fenghuang ancient city. My room has the river view and two balconies, which is excellent for night view of the city. The room is spacious enough for four adults, but needs to share for one bathroom. The breakfast buffet only offered a simple Chinese breakfast with limited varieties. The hotel room was quiet at night time. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. The restaurant was excellent and offered authentic Hunan style food. Overall, this hotel experience was excellent.

They let us choose which room we wanted to stay in, and also organised pick ups to and from the hotel, which we really appreciate. View was lovely too and we were able to see the fireworks. Highly recommend staying here :)

GGuest UserThe hotel is very nice. Although it is relatively downstream, it is not a big deal for us who live in Chongqing. It is only half an hour to go upstream and is not very far. If it is really far, I strongly recommend that you take a taxi to Nanhua Bridge and walk down.
Hygiene: Hygiene is okay, but the bed sheets have a bit of a smell, which may be due to the previous guest smoking, but it's okay that we brought our own disposable quilt covers.
Service: The service is very nice, including pick-up and drop-off, which is very convenient.
It is also recommended here that if you want to take pictures, you can choose a place downstream where the price is cheaper and more affordable.

MMaxx ThanchanothFirst of all, I would like to say about service, the staff (a tiny girl in glasses) is very very helpful and service-mind. The driver sent us at wrong gate, then she came to pick us up and assisted us to hotel and did the same thing when I go back, she tried to find taxi for us. Moreover, one of staffs gave me a gift when we check-out. The place is located close to south gate and popular and crowded. I spent time at balcony for long time, so happy. The room was clean and comfy. I love this place so much.

While attending the 翠翠 (Cui Cui) performance, we only caught a brief glimpse of her on the balcony. Our room was cozy and comfortable, especially the spacious King-size bed. However, the room's cleanliness could be enhanced. We found the toilet cluttered with leftover lotion bottles. On a positive note, our host was extremely friendly and helpful, offering valuable insights and tips throughout our stay.”

PPaowoahTraveled in December, it was nice for us as there wasn’t a lot of people. Really easy to communicate with them through Wechat. They got us a car for train station pick up and drop off. Upon arriving, someone came out to get us. It’s a flight of stairs down first (they offer to help with luggage) but would say to pack light because we were struggling. It’s a couple minutes walk to the place, I believe they have two, so depends which one they bring you to?
We got the connecting rooms via balcony. It was nice because it was two rooms and each room had its own bathroom. We were able to see the water bridge (I believe) right outside the balcony which was nice. Good thing we were just on the first floor so with our luggages, stairs wasn’t too bad. Since it was not peak season, even with the bar nearby, it was not too loud for us at night. There’s some restaurants and photoshoot shops nearby as well. We did the photoshoot store right next to this stay and it was just ok for reference, feel like you can get cheaper elsewhere.
Everything was pretty clean but there were some issues. Since it was December, it was cold. And when we first arrived, there was no hot water (just all freezing cold water). They said water heater was just cleaned or something when I asked. They said hot water should be back at night but our water when we showered wasn’t too promising. And then the heater was barely warming up the room so we were basically freezing. We took out all our jackets and all and we were still cold. Our room door to the balcony window was also broken which I was frustrated at first since it was cold, no hot water, heater not working, cold air blowing in. They eventually fixed it and I did appreciate the lady giving us portable heaters for the room to use.
Overall, I think it’s not a bad place.

GGuest UserI took a long time researching and almost booked 2 other Instagram popular Minsu only to cancel and take this one instead. I am glad I did because this Minsu has the best view in whole of Furong Town! Many people make the mistake of wanting to stay right and close by the waterfall but the beauty of Furong Town is the wide landscape view of its ancient grounds and gorgeous waterfalls. As such, a view from a certain distance will be the most ideal and the most perfect. We simply love this accommodation! This Minsu is located by the entrance of the Furong Ancient Town. As you start your exploration into the town, you will be taken along multiple paths that will eventually lead you to the waterfall, as you walk through the trail and enjoy the waterfalls. Continue down and hike up into the cliff side steps until you see signages that point towards an exit. You will see some structures that is half built- walk up and then walk straight out and a left turn and you find yourself right back at the Minsu! The location is simply brillant ! We stayed in the 2 bedder suite and had such a wonderful time in the room enjoying the comfortable beds and the great view, we found ourselves lounging indoors most of the time only venturing for a bit outside when the weather was cooler. We will definitely recommend anyone to come and stay in this Minsu. Be sure to also have your dinner there , the food is good and views even better! You will not regret!
The Minsu provides to and fro from the railway station , please add them in WeChat and arrange! They are very friendly !

RRiffrathPros- Great location by the river, beautiful and close walking distance to the food shops, famous bridges and the red lady singing on the boat (5-10mins). Clean warm room. Bit of scuff marks and stuff on the walls and wooden furnitures but overall charming, nice and modern and no like stinky smells from the river/mosquitoes/cigarettes etc. Warm showers and has all the standard amenities (hairdryer, soap shampoo, shaver etc). The manager is super friendly and hospitable even though she doesn’t speak English she really tries her best to help.
Cons- noisy bars and karaoke until 11pm, tour groups in the morning start like at 7am below the balcony (maybe one or two when I was there 2 days) and 9am construction work starts. The free tour is sadly in Chinese only, and the free outfit doesn’t include photos or makeup, it is about 199 yuan for that but if you don’t want photos or makeup it’s free. Don’t think they wash the outfits super often either. Laundry is apparently not a proper one and you have to hand wash. No lifts if you have a lot of luggage.

GGuest UserThis hotel was such a gem! Located in a beautiful scenic area, it felt like a peaceful retreat. The service was outstanding—the staff went above and beyond by picking us up, dropping us off, and even helping with our luggage, which made our stay so much easier.
The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and had an amazing view. One standout feature was the heated toilet seat, which was such a treat during the cold season. Having a washer included was another huge bonus, especially for longer stays.
Overall, everything about this hotel made us feel at home. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and stunning surroundings!
