"Everything was perfect during our stay, from the staff who were accommodating and kept smiling at us, to the room we got, which was neat and had a good view. The picture on the website is what you actually get; I don't know about the other rooms. By the way, please remove the notice in the elevator about the pool stating that it's under maintenance, as it's confusing. When we went up, it was actually open, and one family was using it."
"This hotel has some good points:
1. Great buffet bfast with a variety of food selections. I like their dried fish, omelette, langgonisa, coffee, breads, fruits. But noticed they did not serve bananas. Staff looks attentive to the needs of guests.
2. Have greats restos and shops nearby. Also near the CJH Conference area.
3. Has ample parking and nice garden plus heated pool.
However this hotel also needs improvement on the following areas:
1. Front desk looks like they are not coordinated. Made separate booking for three nights via Agoda and Trip.com and informed the hotel about this arrangement. However, after our first night, front desk asked us if we are extending our stay. Worst, they deactivated our key cards so we have to go down again to have them activated again which caused some inconvenience.
2. Toilet has a foul odor so called housekeeping who took some time to attend to us. They told us what to do to avoid the foul smell but some unpleasant smell still remained so reported this to the team leader who sent their engineering to check. The hotel staff told us they will return but never did. So problem was not solved.
3. Requested for late checkout since our trip back to Manila was still at 2pm. However, front desk cannot commit and said will require approval. We followed up and got no positive feedback. Called team leader and made complaints about issues 1-3 and had our request accepted.
4. Very difficult to book a taxi or grab and the guards said because of too many guests or tourists. But it’s a pity that such an expensive hotel also has no shuttles service.
We booked this hotel because it’s near the conference area but disappointed because we felt we didn’t get the value and services we were expecting. Anyway, thanks to the great staff."
"We’ve enjoyed our stay in Baguio having our accomodation in Soto Grande Hotel. Friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast. Clean room. Nice swimming pool (warm, temperature controlled). We had a relaxing massage. The location of the hotel is very accessible. Nearby tourist places and good restaurants. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you."
