Booked a table for two for dinner. Menu was great lots of options, for veggies and meat eaters. The food was unreal. Reasonably priced as well and was very happy for value for money. Service was great. Overall very pleasant experience and will be coming back no doubt.

The hotel room was adequate. However, .... We had booked a table for evening dinner and it was forgotten about and a table had to be cobbled together at the last minute. The 'restaurant' is just some tables and chairs in the foyer and it was freezing cold in there. The food, however, was very nice. The Guinesss was more expensive than many places I've been in central London! The breakfast was cooked in advance, kept warm, and plated up upon being ordered. Hence, the quality was very low. I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel. Im my opinion, it is very inadequate in almost every way with the noted exception of the evening chef.

Nice clean hotel in a beautiful location just a stones throw outside Swindon. The room I stayed in was a little basic, with practically just the bed and the bathroom; however very nice. The bar area is lovely and food is genuinely excellent, you can really taste that the majority of not all of the ingredients are fresh and very tasty. Certainly would opt to come back, based on the food and service alone.

I am a wheelchair user with specific dietary requirements, and I have to say that the staff were very cheerful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. I had a few issues with heavy doors and raised lips over some thresholds, so I required some assistance at times. However, the staff were on hand and very helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant which was particularly good. The food was ample and delicious. We also had a walk around the grounds which are absolutely stunning!

Sunday lunch at Palm bar and restaurant Lydiard Park . Lovely surroundings at our local park which is only a short walk for us , thought we would try Sunday lunch there and opted for Belly Pork from the limited menu which we expected to be cut thick and the fat crispy , but nope , cut really thin and needed a magnifier glass to find any meat , mostly fat . … very small portion , very disappointing , very poor . If you go there do not choose the Belly Pork . A very disappointing first visit and don’t really know if we will go back and hand over another £66 of our money for 2 meals , 2 glasses of wine , 1 coke and desert . You need to take Belly Pork off the menu before you lose anymore customers . It really is taking the Michael.

I have just stayed for the week and the service was first class, the premises spotless, staff perfect and the whole building kept warm and comfortable. Looking forward to the next business trip in February, might even get a walk in the park as the days become lighter.

I was there in December and stayed in room 6. The room was dirty! the toilet was dirty and has not been cleaned. the room was not vacuumed. the linen was dirty and turned on the inside. The lady at the reception behaved very nicely! I really don't understand what that crazy lady is doing there! Her name is July that's what I understood as she was named when she was talking to other people. She is a lady with blonde and long hair. She had no patience at all, behaved badly and spoke very badly, disrespecting me because I was older. The rooms are nice, but they need to be cleaned, that's clear. The food was good, but the fact that that lady behaved very badly with me and spoke very badly to me, I can't give more than one star!
