"Our first stop in the UK, not far from the Lake District. The hotel was very nice, with spacious rooms and a generous breakfast. It's a very good value for money hotel in the UK. There's a gas station and supermarket nearby."

"Wonderful location and friendly staff; however, the way the property is maintained leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, cleanliness is quite poor. In one room we found mold inside the window frames; in another, a broken window pane; and there were numerous cobwebs throughout the house. The bathtubs are potentially dangerous due to the height difference between the floors, and the bathroom fixtures also show clear signs of age. The hairdryer is frankly ridiculous—it looks at least 30 years old. The food is underwhelming and nothing special; I would not recommend dining on site. We had high expectations, but they were all disappointed, and even the breakfast was not enjoyable. Our only thanks go to the staff, who were always attentive and helpful."

"tayed at Holiday Inn Express Swindon West for two nights and had a pleasant experience overall. The service was good throughout the stay, with friendly and helpful staff. Free breakfast was included, which was decent and convenient each morning. The hotel was comfortable and suited my needs well for a short stay."

"Booked for a four night stay at around 18.30 the guest above started doing some kind of work out. Lots of jumping around and running on the spot. This went on for an hour as it wasn’t late just turned the tv up. At around 04.30 thought the ceiling was coming down unbelievable. Managed to get hold of the member of staff who thankfully went and stopped this fitness fanatic. On leaving for the day the nice lady on reception said they have spoken to the gentleman. Unfortunately he is booked in for the week. She said the duty manager is going to ask the gentleman to move onto ground floor room this way he can’t disturb anyone. Well obviously the duty manager ignored my complaint. Same happened that night some people have no consideration for others. Packed up and headed somewhere else. Week manager who obviously doesn’t care about the guests who stay at this hotel. Top it off dirty towels and stains on the bedding."

"We came here for a one night stay on our way back from Cornwall. We were staying in a room in the annexe which unfortunately had the view of a brick wall. The shower was fab and the bed firm and comfortable although my husband didn't like the pillows. We enjoyed our flat iron steak done as we liked it and felt the restaurant was very good although they were just about to change their menu and therefore not everything was available. However the breakfast was disappointing, the choice was good but my avocado and poached egg were only lukewarm and we failed to find any sauces for my husband's bacon bap (the staff seemed to disappear). Good timings for breakfast however and a leisurely checkout at 11am."
