LLisaLouWhat an absolute amazing find. The setting was so beautiful and the room was outstanding and so much nicer than we could have ever imagined. The free standing bath was our favourite, the bed was very comfortable and the settee area was very nice. The staff were very understanding of my sons disability and were very patient and kind. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed and cannot wait to return. Could have easily stayed there for days
GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located just off the M4 in Swindon. We used it as a stop off while driving dueing the night. The hotel itself was very festively decorated with lots of Christmas decorations, which was great, ot felt very warm and welcoming. The 24 hour reception desk was one of the reasons we chose the hotel as we were arriving at midnight and the staff memver who checked us in was very professional and welcoming. The car park only had a few spaces left which worried us but we did get a space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, there was no heating in our room. There is no central heating so they have put in A/C/heater units on the walls. Our seemed to be broken as it blew out cold air for 30 minutes before we decided to turn it off. We had been travelling for 26 hours at that point and it was gone midnight so I didn't want to go back to the reception desk and risk having to change rooms when we were already so tired. So we layered up and went to bed with jumpers & socks. I asked for a portable heater the next morning at breakfast and they put one in within 5 minutes so that getting ready in the morning wasn't so cold. I was very impressed with the responsiveness of the team. There is no heating in the bathroom either. It was a shame because everything else about the hotel was fine. The breakfast was good too. Perfect for a 1 night stop-over. However, I wouldn't recommend it for winter.
AAnonymous UserVery nice hotel. This business trip was wrong and stayed at this hotel. The facilities, health, environment and service are very satisfied. The foreign waiter's brain is really stupid. I will choose this hotel next time.
GGuest UserALCON,
I was very happy with my stay, during check- in staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The room was very clean and nice only small problem is that rooms are not set up for the powering up of cell-phones, Recommend the desk provide attachments so that tourist can keep there phones powered up. During my 12 days stayed at four other similiar locations, your facility was the only one without adapters for cell phone charge.
Your food downstairs was great especially enjoyed the fish and chips. All in all a great stay I will DE finitely be returning very much enjoyed my stay with you,
GGuest User”Our stay at DoubleTree Hotel was pleasant and comfortable. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities provided. We especially appreciated the warm cookies upon arrival, a nice touch that added to the welcoming atmosphere. While the decor may be somewhat dated, it didn't detract from our overall experience. The location was convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby attractions. Overall, DoubleTree Hotel provided us with a satisfactory stay and good value for the price.”
GGuest UserBeautiful and lovely surroundings. A lot to choose from for breakfast.
Most of the staff are nice, but there is one guy who is not that nice very rude the way he talks and answering questions.
There is two glass in the bathroom which is fine but if you request for a glass to drink in the room they will still bring you the same kind of glasses to you. I think they should have different shapes of glass for different purposes.
Also some of their tea cups are too big and is not classy at all.
WWenxiaoxiongNo reception when I arrived. No answer on telephone either.Hustled 15 minutes to find keys on doors to get room myself. Reception opened only when restaurant opened.
GGuest UserThis hotel has got high standards on cleanliness and service consistently. On a bitterly cold weekend the room was warm throughout. In fact very comfortable bed and no need for extra blanket. 2 small issues. The pillows were a bit lumpy but fine and the restarant did not serve evening meals to our liking but overall outstanding !!! Cannot wait to return.
