Best Hotels near Shiyuan Park, Taipei

We've traveled worldwide, and The Koos Hotel is the worst and dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. If you are considering staying at this place, book another place now. My family had a big family reunion in Taiwan. Due to the hotel's convenient location, which is within walking distance from my relative's house, we booked several rooms to accommodate our big family. The night front staff was rude from the minute we walked into the hotel. He has no basic manner (ie. hello, thank you, or smile). I feel sorry for this miserable man. The day shift front desk staff was better but could have been better too. The hotel is very old and needs a lot of work/TLC. You can smell it as soon as you walk into the room. The carpet and bathroom were old and dirty. One of our rooms even had a moldy closet. The shower was not draining and flooded when we took a shower. The AC is bearly working to stay cold. Not to mention, we saw cockroaches in the room. The list goes on and on. The only clean thing was the bed sheet and bathroom towels. We arrived very early at 1 am, plus many of us just got off the plane after 15 hours of international flight. We don't have enough energy to find another hotel at that time. Besides, we have already paid for the rooms. What annoyed me the most was when the manager promised us a bigger room (we even double-confirmed before arrival); by the time we check-in, the same night shift front desk staff said the room they promised us was booked by other people already and gave us a standard room instead. No apology whatsoever. We are upset because the Koos Hotel has no simple principle and all because they want to make an extra buck. I don't want anyone to be treated this way. really great and worth it I am very satisfied with the service of this hotel. From the moment I entered the hotel, the staff gave me a warm welcome and provided detailed check-in information. They were happy to answer my questions and gave me advice on local attractions and transportation. Their polite and professional attitude made me feel right at home. The hotel also provided thoughtful housekeeping services, such as extra towels, replacement sheets, etc., to ensure my comfortable stay.

The room was very compact, but the price was reasonable for the location and a solo budget traveler. The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. When I get a chance to go to Taipei by myself and need a place to sleep for a short term, I might go back there again.

The transportation is very convenient. It is directly above the Dingxi MRT Station. It is very convenient to the attractions in Taipei. Especially if you have to take 2 stops to the East Gate, you can visit the Yongkang Street business district. The girlfriend directly calls ”It is tailor-made for her.” The hotel's accommodation environment is very comfortable, We stayed in a big bed room, it felt very warm, the shower in the bathroom was also very spacious, there was no sense of oppression in the general budget hotel. Free coffee is served in the ballroom. It is the kind that is full and can be drunk at any time. This is for me who is a heavy coffee lover. It is definitely a big gospel. There are many stores in the nearby business district, and the living function is very convenient. We highly recommend everyone to live!

The environment on the first floor is comfortable and spacious. The room is not too big and the space is a bit tight. The door lock is not sensor-operated, but uses a key, a bit like the ones found in old apartments. Breakfast is popular, with Chinese and Western styles. The view is that you can see the bridge There are unique transportation options and a short distance from the MRT station. The main road is right at the gate. Although there are not many cars, if there are cars, they will go very fast. Please pay attention.

Location is superb. The only issue I had was the noise since i got the window bed. I can even listen clearly to the conversation downstairs. Plus the car & motorcycle sound is very loud. Bathroom & toilet is clean. But have to wait for quite some time coz it’s shared with 2 dormitories.

The photo of the room is completely inconsistent. The room is very small and even I live with a double bed. 3⃣️The boss said that the building is old ant nest You can’t clean it up. Don’t eat in the room. It’s only when you arrive at the hotel. 4⃣️Seriously close to the locomotive on the roadside, my room is terrible... I don’t know why I was so unlucky. I have been preparing for the CFA for eight or nine months. Because of the hotel, I only slept for three or four hours the night before the test, which was a heavy-duty two-session test in the morning and afternoon. I completely failed in this garbage hotel, or the room on the side of the main road just close to Keelung Road. The windows are extremely bad. I heard the sound of the locomotive for two days. In fact, the perfect and complete test schedule was completely ruined in this bad hotel (mainly because the sound of the locomotive can’t sleep at all) 5⃣️I had a room before I left. Whether it is the hotel itself or not, it is not recommended for people who need sufficient rest for the exam, especially on the second floor. The room is extremely dangerous. Close to the road is a few rooms on my side. The double room is so small and the locomotive noise is almost all day (there are rooms on the ground floor and the first floor)

Located within minutes from Ximending and the Taipei metro, so it was the perfect location for me. I had the deluxe room which was spacious, with lots of room space to move around and there was a mini fridge, open wardrobe where I could hang my clothes and a counter top on the side with 2 chairs. The shower and toilet was also spacious with a kinda bathtub. Shower gel and shampoo in dispenser were also available. Toothrbrush, shaver, comb and shower cap were all available during check in if required and bathroom slippers were also available in the room. Little things that made everything complete. At the concierge, there were snacks that were free of charge for guests and a water dispenser that serves sparkling water which was so cool! The room will be cleaned upon request and when I asked why, they said cos some guests want their privacy and do not wanna be disturbed so they will only clean the room upon request. Luckily I am quite a tidy person and didn’t eat in my room so my room was generally clean and didn’t really need any cleaning during my stay. Towels were sufficient and I only needed more tissue and mineral water during my stay and was given to me upon my request. If anything is needed, the concierge is also available 24 hours which ensured peace of mind for every guest. But most of all, it was the staff that made my stay fun and memorable. They were extremely friendly and approachable. I love the family/friends feel whenever I was in their space. They were also extremely helpful when I asked about where I could get great local food and they would even Google and show me exactly what they were recommending and made sure I will get to the desired destination. Overall, this is a great hotel that I would highly recommend for anyone when travelling to Taipei Taiwan.

Although the hotel facilities are a bit aging, the scenery next to the hotel is beautiful. It is definitely qualified at this price. In addition, the service staff are friendly and courteous, which is enough to make up for the aging facilities.
