The onsen and hotel room was decent and clean, onsen runs all night which was great. However, the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, with the nearest convenience store 30 minutes drive away and the nearest family restaurant 45 minutes drive away. We arrived at 8.30pm and no food was available anymore in the hotel, or anywhere near the hotel. Driving at night was also quite scary, down the windy and unlit roads. Hotel staff could not speak English. We tried calling the hotel to inform them we would arrive late due to road conditions, and to request for 1 hour later check out, but they struggled to understand. They denied the late chack out strictly as well. The views were pretty though :)

The service of this hotel is very good. Because the road on the mountain is icy, it is impossible to ride on the bicycle. It is still more than ten kilometers to the hotel and it is already dark. I have to retreat to the convenience store near the foot of the mountain and call the hotel for help. There is a waiter who understands English. After asking the clerk to explain the location to them, he immediately sent a car to pick us up and take us back to the hotel. Even though it was already after 8pm when we arrived at the hotel, dinner was still prepared for us! After checking out the next day, we were sent back to the convenience store to pick up the car. This was my first time staying with my elderly mother. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, but we were kindly shown to our room right away and were able to enter. Thank you for your consideration. The hot spring was great, and the dinner was very luxurious and delicious. There were bath towels and face towels in the room, and the only amenities were toothbrushes. So, if you need a comb or other items, I recommend bringing them yourself. However, you can purchase them at the front desk for a low price. There was lotion, milky lotion, horse oil cream, etc. in the bathroom, which was appreciated. The only hot spring on the shore of Lake Haruna. Since it was a Sunday during the fall foliage season, the number of people was limited, but luckily we were able to get in without waiting.
