We stayed for three nights to attend Decibel Outdoor which was around 1.5 miles from the hotel. We've stayed in a Van Der Valk hotel before (Eindhoven) and were very impressed so decided to stay in the same chain again. It did not disappoint. We stayed in a comfort room. It was very big & felt quite luxurious. The bathroom had double doors that opened out into the bedroom which was a lovely touch. We also had a balcony. We ate in the restaurant the first night. The food was delicious & so were the cocktails. Breakfast was perfect. You couldn't ask for anything more with so much choice. The hotel also has a small self serve shop where you can buy drinks, snacks & toiletries. It's a little bit pricey but with no other shops in the local vicinity it's very handy. We used the pool on the first day. It's small but it wasn't busy and great for a cool down in the hot weather. My only reason for the 4 stars is the public transport link. The nearest bus stop is quite a walk from the hotel. A taxi from the train station on the first day cost €30 and considering this was a 3km journey I found that very expensive although this is not the hotels fault Would 100% stay here again. Fabulous place

Nice hotel at the edge of Tilburg, nice roomy rooms , just the cleaning of the rooms was so so half was done , they left clean trash-bags… only thing as you can walk from one balcony to the other, a glass wins shutter would make it more safe and more easy for a little smoke as they do have standard ashtray on the balcony

The van der Valk Hotel has disappointed us (as a couple) very much. We stayed at the Welness suite Deluxe and that is really highly overprized. All the welnees (bathtube and steamcabin) are for single use only and also the only things that are available in the suite. If you then pay almost Euro 280,00 for one night. We feel we are ripped off ! The value for maney on this room is for us is terrible... also when you check-out and the lady that is helping you doesn't even asks you "how was your stay" then I get the feeling that she already know what feedback is that she will get!

Beautiful hotel with disappointing service and staff. We came in at 3 am from a long flight with our 2 year old with 2 weeks worth of luggage. The staff made us get our own Trolley and drag it upstairs. At breakfast the staff where no where to be found to assist and the freshly made eggs station sat ideal the whole time with burnt eggs only on display. When I asked for a little more late check out time than what I paid for, I was met with a harsh no. No smile nothing. Cold and brut. Come checkout time I asked for a trolley to get the bags down , they said they don’t have any. I asked for help to take my bags down because I had a baby and couldn’t do it alone. Again they said they can’t help. Not a 4 star hotel service or even a 2 star. Staff is disconnected and not friendly at all. I do not recommend it unless you speak Dutch or if your traveling with a family. Such a shame because the room is spacious and very quiet

Positive the bed is great. We had the VIP suite it is not cheap that is why the rating is only a 3. A lot of tear and wear in small things also a lot of dust for sure above the 180 cm and backsides TV Slept a few times now in different vd valk 6 mails before you arrive and small other things your money already blocked on your card before you are there and extra for food and drink never had that at other hotels. Breakfast not special not even fresh orange juice Staff is friendly cleaning not really.

We naturally set the bar high, after having visited more than 25 Van Der Valk hotels. This recent hotel was high on our wish list. That's why we linked this to our stay in the Beekse Bergen. Unfortunately, the experience was somewhat less than expected. The room was nice, but they forgot the extra bed. It can happen and it was corrected correctly by the ladies at reception. The bed was partly broken (the wheel broke off), but we left that alone. It was also not completely clean. The restaurant was certainly good, but you shouldn't sit there at 9 p.m. because then the staff will vacuum you away. It's also a pity that the swimming pool is not monitored (a family was throwing balls) and that the sauna was partly not working. The promising sky bar was also not open. The breakfast was good, but not more than that. For a very expensive overnight stay, our experience was rather limited.

The return was again very pleasant. Friendly reception. Nice and big room. Very friendly and fast service in the bar and restaurant. Nice menu with excellent tasting dishes. Slept well. Very nice breakfast (what a pity that I am no longer allowed sausage rolls due to my diet) So I have booked again for August!!!

We came to stay here with the opening of the hotel in 2018 and it was a bit disappointing, especially organizationally (teething problems) and unfinished areas. Now 6 years later we are here for the 2nd time during our weekend in Tilburg. It already started on a negative note when we were approached by a rather disinterested and businesslike reception clerk. We did not feel very welcome. We got room 409 on the fourth floor. Very spacious room with all the trimmings. Beautiful bathroom with walk-in shower and bath. Everything was very neat. Fantastic beds and pillows. Large flat screen, refrigerator, coffee and tea making facilities. There are 2 downsides: no water in the room and the Nespresso was defective. Fortunately, there is a small self-service in the entrance hall where you can purchase everything. What a beautiful hotel this is. Very nicely decorated and so super quiet. We didn't use the wellness, but we did take a look on the seventh floor and everything looks fine. During our first visit, these areas were not yet finished. After reading the many reviews, we also wisely chose to eat out in Tilburg itself. The breakfast was of good quality and the tables were cleared on time this time. Our last stay was much more positive than our first visit and we will definitely return to this hotel when we are in the area. Tips: a Nespresso machine is waiting for maintenance in room 409 (not running properly) and do something about the friendliness of your reception team because they are the first face of a hotel. (check-in: Friday 08/03 around 1:00 PM)
