Lochgreen House Hotel & Spa

Part of a road trip to celebrate my 70th birthday. This was the mystery hotel my husband had booked and I was delighted! A beautiful room, with views towards the coast. The hotel was fairly quiet whilst we were staying, but the staff were lovely and friendly and the food amazing. The menu was a good mix and I think I could have picked most things on there! Breakfast was very good and set us up for the day. We visited Culzean Castle on our full day as the weather, although not great in the forecast, turned out to be dry and autumnal .

Spent an overnight at the hotel with my cousin. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Staff were exceptional. Food was lovely and the room was beautiful. Would definitely return and would recommend the hotel to others.

This is a gorgeous hotel in lovely grounds near the golf courses.We had lunch in the stunning Copper Beech bar, a first visit since it was added on to the hotel a couple of years ago.Really an very impressive, attractive interior. My Caesar Salad was excellent, really strong flavours, as it should have and plenty of it.My husband’s Club Sandwich was great too.Extra portion of chips were first class. Then we chose desserts…. The Meringue tasted nothing like meringue, one of my favourite puddings.It was bright pink and had a very strange, overly sweet flavour.Not nice.Fruit coulis that came with it was almost solid, couldn’t get it to pour out of the small jug. Very odd because their sister hotel at Duck Bay on Loch Lomond does very good home made meringues and is known for them. Apple Crumble was a pie base, minimal crumble topping - a poor replica of this top notch pudding and not one I’d ever order here again. We will come back , as it’s such a lovely environment with good walks nearby, but will, sadly, avoid the desserts.

Stunning hotel. Stayed here for family wedding. What a venue. Perfect from start to finish. Had meal the night before wedding it was delicious. Lovely bar to sit in after our meal. Breakfast was fab plenty choices. Wedding meal fantastic. What a stunning venue for a wedding. All staff so lovely and helpful. Weather was perfect for outside use of gardens etc. Gardens were pristine. couldn’t have asked for more. Rooms are massive and so comfortable

Quick bite Friendly and efficient service . Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. Hotel prices , you pay a premium but this is a high end establishment . Will definitely be back to try a la carte option and stay over. Thanks team Lochgreen see you soon

There is only one word to describe Lochgreen Hotel----PERFECTION. The stunning beauty of the hotel itself, the quiet,friendly ambience, food to die for and what can I say about the staff?--,Donald, Adam, Sarah and all are the most caring, friendly and efficient staff I have ever encountered in my long history of staying in great hotels. Food--cordon bleau, room service-instant, gardens-immaculate--and what can I say about Ivor??-AMAZING.. You will never find a better hotel. Congratulations to Bill Costly, a charming perfect gentleman who owns this charming perfect hotel.
