Excellent location of the retreat and of our tent right in front of the lake. Perfect for peace and to listen to Dawn and dusk bird chorus. The tent is spacious and comfortable ( not luxurious). The porch furniture could have been more comfortable considering a lot of time is spent. For me, the bed mattress was just too soft giving me a backache. The manager Naveen and all the resort staff as well as the office staff were excellent and always making sure we were comfortable and got everything we needed. The food provided was excellent and had variety. The air cooler in the tent was quite noisy as was the background 24/7 noise from the mining carried out nearby. Navenby has extensive knowledge of the local fauna and flora and we enjoyed the evening jeep safari. On the whole a very good experience.

Tents are sizeable and beautifully located in front of the lake. . its apt for people looking forward to spend some quite time . . .Ashwin was the property manager and he took us for wonderful,nature walks and took care of every little thing required. . . it was super relaxing and peaceful to sit in the wilderness around a bonfire. . 2 nights is a good time for a property like this . .food is simple and sumptuous and you will not miss home . .

Isolated destination for people who love to immerse into nature. We spend nights there, enjoy the songs of birds in the morning, the sound of night and the gorgous sunset. Sometimes on the road we found beautiful peacocks flirting. How peaceful!

We stayed for 1 night at Dera Baghdarrah and really enjoyed the nice retreat in the calm and beautiful nature after some busy city days. The sleeping tents are huge and very clean. A big positive was definitely Pankaj, the manager, who was very friendly & helpful and spent lots of time with us explaining and showing us the fauna & flora around the retreat. We could also spot many crocs. The food was delicious, incredible given the kitchen in the middle of the nature. The only little downside was that parts of the retreat (especially some nice viewpoints) could not properly be used as they were under maintenance at that time. Otherwise, highly recommended!

Nature at it's natural best... Once here, you could be anywhere but the typical lake-oriented Udaipur... Go here for nature, the breeze, crocodiles, a very elusive leopard, some birds, lip-smacking customizable food, beautiful lake-views... And the hospitality of owner Pankaj Chaudhary, Manager Mukesh Naagar (Take a course in hindi, Sanskrit and mantra's from him), the Chef, the support staff including Sunil, the other guy (perhaps his name was Imran) and the lady from the village who comes to make rotis on the fire... Really refreshing, relaxing, rewarding stay..

Superb 5 star stay at Dera Baghdarrah!. Highly recommend this camp/ outdoor resort for all who are looking for an offbeat place to stay, close to nature yet with best amenities...all at a reasonable price tag. Myself and my family stayed in Dec 2022. Tents are clean, chic and very comfortable. Food was very tasty. Zip lining, Safari ( where we saw a leapord!), campfire, crocs lazing in the river, bird songs, starry skies, bonfire, machaan overlooking the lake with a super view, hammocks to sit and simple stare. What more can one ask for!. Please visit for atleast 2 nights. I shall be back!.
