"If you are planning a spiritual trip to Ujjain, Hotel Atharva is an absolutely incredible place to stay, but I want to start with a quick reality check to help future travelers manage expectations: the Mahakaleshwar Shikar (temple spire) is not actually visible from the rooms. If your entire reason for booking a hotel is to have a direct, continuous view of the temple from your window, you should look for accommodation closer to the temple gates. However, here is the catch: if you choose a lodge or hotel right next to the temple just for the view, you will completely miss out on the level of luxury, comfort, and top-tier service that Hotel Atharva provides. You simply won't get this standard of hospitality anywhere near the crowded temple area. If you prioritize a pristine stay, amazing food, and world-class hospitality over a literal temple view, Hotel Atharva is hands-down the best choice in Ujjain. I would choose comfort and great service over a window view any day. Highly recommended!"

Even though there werent any windows, but near the ceiling there was a glassed window like enclosure which allowed a bit of light to enter"

"Worst experience will never recommend this hotel to my enemy also. The hotel far far from civillization with no restaurant or kitchen facility in the hotel. You will feel stranded in the middle of nowhere with no public transportation. The manager of the hotel is worst nightmare for hospitality industry. The rooms are big and spacious with no kettle or fridge. The ground staff listens late and will deliver simple towel in the room after waiting for ages. It’s a disaster in making which should be Avoided with all means. Especially if you are travelling with family like I was doing."
