This Hotel is officially rated as 3 Star….but generally the service and ambience make it 4.5 or 5 star. What a lovely, friendly, comfortable,warm, convenient place it is…..4 x couples and we all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Hotel du Bourg. Rooms not massive but comfortable and at time battling for a breakfast table was a challenge….but overall we all loved the place. From booking to departure the Management, Bar staff, breakfast team and support crew were helpful and positive…. We were really made to feel welcome. The bar is cozy and fabulous….5 minutes walk to the slopes with restaurants, bars , ski hire shops galore within a few metres. Valmorel is not a ‘French mega ski resort’….but it is fantastic,great ski area , wonderful views, lifts and most importantly people…a wonderful place…We’ll be back for certain.

We initially planned to stay at Club Med, but after considering the location and accessibility to restaurants and the town, we decided on Hôtel du Bourg—and it was the best choice! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of a family, thanks to Véronique and the incredible team at the pub. They were hands down the best hosts we could have asked for. The hotel offers fantastic value for money, an unbeatable location, and excellent service. While the rooms aren't the most spacious, who goes to Valmorel to stay in their room? We can't wait to come back! Highly recommended for an authentic and welcoming stay.

Lovely French 3 star hotel. Staff really friendly and helpful, location is great in the centre of the village, few minutes walking distance to planchamp ski lift. Breakfast was good and room was clean. Nice bar area with drinks that wont break the bank! Will be back again given half a chance!

Thank you hotel du bourg for making our trip to Valmorel so memorable! We were 2 families with children aged 8-15. The hotel is right in the village so we could pop in and out easily. The hotel bar was great fun, cosy and the wonderful bar men Adrian & Gasper made the perfect drinks - namely espresso martinis! We were able to bring food in and use the breakfast room which was handy for the kids. The ski school required a bus ride of 5 mins but it was handy enough. The main lift is a short walk through the villlage. We enjoyed the use of the private sauna after a hard day’s skiing. The staff could not have been more accommodating. We will definitely return if we plan to ski in Valmorel. Thank you to all at hotel du bourg!

Nous avions réservé cet hôtel pour nos vacances de ski. Hotel typique de la région avec son personnel très accueillant et serviable. Chambre propre et équipé comme il faut. Bar convivial avec feu de bois, tres bonne ambiance. Gérante très dévouée du début à la fin de notre séjour. Nous y retournerons sans nul doutes. Je recommande fortement.
