This resort is fantastic. The staff are excellent and really made us feel loved. It was our 10th anniversary and we wanted to book one of the A la Carte dinners this resort offers. Unfortunately the had no availabilty on the night of our anniversary, we were a little bummed. The following day guest services slipped a note under our door with reservations for three other days and a note asking us to contact them in guest services. The day after, which was our anniversary day, we contacted guest services. They were so nice and made us reservations to a very nice restaurant in Varadero called Waco's Club. They went out and got us a happy anniversary banner for over the table and really made it feel special. There is a coffee bar at this resort that makes excellent coffee drinks Americano, Espresso, Cappachino, Lattes even Spanish Coffee. It is a wonderful way to start your day. The beach is large with hardly any coral. There is a bar close so you can keep refreshments topped up and it's fairly shallow for quite a ways out making it ideal for children and families. Aside from the A la Carte dinners that we had (Italiano, Mediterranean and Giollo) there was a buffet available at every meal time. For breakfast, the omlette bar was the best for me. They offered generous sized omlettes with mushrooms, green peppers, ham, cheese and and assortment of vegetables in the omlette, if you want them. They also had hot cakes, all kinds of fruit as well as some pastries. Lunch offered Hamburgers, pasta, salads, banana chips and even ice cream! As well as much more that I am going to leave out. They had entertainment nightly. Types of entertainment were, magic shows, dancers, a water show, even a rock band one night. All the entertainment finished at 11pm every night. The rooms were very clean. The house keepers were very good about coming every day to change the bedding and the towels and giving the room a sweep and a mop. The staff knowing it was our anniversary also made designs on the bed with towels and blankets in the shape of hearts or even the word Cuba spelled out. It was really nice coming back to the room after a day on the beach and seeing the surprises the housekeeper had left for us. They had a lot of Canadians at this resort. Which, I am one. But, to recognize that they had a Canada Night. They put invitations under the doors of all the Canadians staying at the resort to invite them to a cocktail in their honor. It was really cool to see so many other Canadians there and to talk to them and find out where in Canada they were from and how the weather was where they lived. Not only did the honour all the Canadians at the resort but they also had a dinner honouring all their return guests, which there were also a lot of. I met so many people at this resort who come back over and over again. That really speaks volumes about this place. I met a gentleman who was coming to Bella Costa for 20 years and would never dream of going anywhere else.
