Astoria Hotel ★★★

📍 Corso Filangieri, 23, Vico Equense

"I ended up booking accommodation here instead of in Sorrento, but I loved that it was a quiet neighborhood. Above all, the location was excellent; it was close to the train station, making it convenient to get around, and it was a hassle to travel to Sorrento or Pompeii. I was particularly satisfied with the breakfast; it was nice to start the day leisurely, and the staff were friendly, so I had a pleasant stay throughout. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to comfortably enjoy the Southern Italian vibe!"

Hotel Torre Barbara ★★★★

📍 Corso Caulino, 77 Seiano, Corso Caulino, 77, Vico Equense

"Definitely the best hotel I have ever stayed in Italy!!! The hotel is built on the hillside. It is not easy to find when driving up. When I first arrived, I couldn't find the entrance. The staff was very enthusiastic and immediately arranged for colleagues to ride a motorcycle to lead the way. The parking space was tight at night, and the staff was very patient and guided us to park step by step. When we checked in, we took us around, and the terrace view was really amazing! Facing the Bay of Naples, you can see Mount Vesuvius from a distance. The pool and outdoor restaurant have impeccable views. In the morning, I had breakfast on the terrace and looked at the volcano while watching the sea. The atmosphere was directly full, really like a dream. The service is in place, the scenery is irreplaceable, next time I come to Amalfi, I will choose here, the treasure hotel, I really recommend it! ! !"

"Had an amazing 4 days at this hotel , as some of the reviews have said it is a little bit tired in place but the views, food, location and excellent staff make up for this. Compliments to the chef and the amazing restaurant staff who can not do enough for you. Beds and pillows are really comfortable and we had a little balcony with an amazing view."

Grand Hotel Moon Valley ★★★★

📍 Corso Caulino, 5, Seiano, Vico Equense

"I booked this about a month in advance. I had a lovely double bed overlooking the swimming pool which had a Juliet balcony and the sunshine in the morning. Very friendly reception staff and very helpful I had a key safe no extra charge a working fridge a hairdryer the cleaners did a grand job no hairs in plug hole, very well cleaned each day. Only thing the shower head was abit all over the place and could do with replacing. Food… a set menu every night you had to choose every evening. There was fish every night which didn’t appeal to me as I’m not a fish lover at all or really pizza, pasta or veal fan I’m afraid to say, but I didn’t go hungry. I asked for tomato soup which they happily obliged. The children asked for chip and also got that. they were very accommodating.. There was a selection of desserts that you could choose from. Breakfast was very good I personally found. You can pay as you go if they have change in the till or you add it to your room, but you could run away with the bill. A bottle of wine is €26 Peroni €6 Small water €1.50 Large €2.50 taurus tax with £24.50 for the week in August. Two very nice pools a kids with handles and steps and a large main pool not heated also with rails and steps down into it, plus it’s nice and deep. Overlooking the bay and greenery/houses to one side. Plenty of sun beds no worries there, just don’t leave your towels out long or they will be moved. The area isn’t really for the disabled or bad walkers. Hotel it’s self is fine has two lift and slips everywhere. There’s a cafe and mini market shop across the busy road. They had singer most nights. I’d go back just to relax, enjoy the sun and pools. Thank you Moon valley."

"We stayed in the lovely clean, spacious and modern apartment with dishwasher, washing machine and oven/ hob - perfect if you have kids who don’t always appreciate restaurant food! The apartment is also very close to amenities - train station is around 7-8 minutes away which can whisk you off to nearby Pompeii, Naples or Sorrento. Definitely visit the Pizza by the metre restaurant next door and also try the local famous gelato place, popular with the locals!"

Domo 20 Hotel & Rooftop Hotels in Vico Equense

Domo 20 Hotel & Rooftop

"A major faux pas! Don't stay here! Don't believe any positive reviews or posts on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform). This hotel is utterly useless except for its cheap price. First, the location is terrible. The hotel is in the small town of Vico, which has few tourists. It looks close to Sorrento and Positano as a straight line, but it takes 30 minutes and 60 minutes by car respectively. Then, it's supposedly a 6-minute drive to the beach, but it's a 53-minute walk. There's no parking if you drive there, and no taxis in town. More importantly, the hotel is in the north of the Italian peninsula, but the best sea views are in the south. Even if you're looking for a cheap hotel, choose a small town in the south (between Sorrento and Salerno). Second, the rooms are awful. I booked a sea-view balcony room, and upon entering, there was a strong smell of disinfectant (I checked in at 5 pm, so there's no way it had just been cleaned). The balcony was also very small and severely obstructed, offering only a tiny view of the sea. The advertising is completely misleading. The most outrageous thing is the so-called roof. The bar was right above me, and the DJ was spinning records overhead; the noise level was measured at 50-70 dB. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I went to the hotel to complain and request a cancellation (why not a room change? Because the room I was given also had strong disinfectant smells and a DJ dancing overhead). The hotel manager agreed to give me a refund and said he would communicate with the agent about it. However, four days later, the agent told Ctrip that the hotel refused to refund me. I don't know if the hotel or the agent was at fault. However, Ctrip customer service was very attentive in following up and ultimately resolved the issue well. Thank you again! I immediately booked a hotel in Positano after cancelling, and it was a much more pleasant experience."

Le Ancore Hotel Hotels in Vico Equense

Le Ancore Hotel

"Hotel Le Ancore is a beautiful boutique hotel overlooking the Marina Di Equa, approx. 20min walk ~200 stairs to central Vico Equense. The rooms offer amazing views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius from the balcony. Loved the exceptional service, ample breakfast and shared access to the pools and beach at the neighboring property was such a nice surprise. Many great restaurants right out front. Easy access to a ferry to Capri (Laser Capri) and Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I hope to return."

"The Laqua Countryside is an excellent boutique hotel. Our family rented two rooms and they were both very nice. The breakfast was served by hotel staff and it was wonderful. The location is a bit more remote, so you should allow some extra time for travel. The staff were very professional and helpful, and we enjoyed the well maintained facilities and yard at the hotel."

"Highly recommended! What a pleasant experience we had! Rooms are huge and clean, the beds are very comfy and big . The place itself is very peaceful , each room has its own balcony. On the top there is a big terrace with a breathtaking view! Our host Maria was wonderful , she made us a pretty delicious breakfast. Me and my hubby are traveling a lot and this is one of the best places we stayed in. We will definitely be back 🍀 Thank you Maria you are amazing!"

Vesuvio View Hotels in Vico Equense

Vesuvio View

"Versuvio View, is a little Gem of a place. Beautifully clean & tidy. Spacious bedrooms, well decorated. With an extremely comfortable bed, with a Memory foam mattress, which you don't get very often with a B & B. Large shower cubicle too. With stunning views from our balcony. Lovely continental breakfast supplied, with a good selection of pastries, yogurts, breads, cheese & fruit, good selection of hot & cold drinks & so much more. This was laid out beautifully in the breakfast room & then could be taken out on to the very large outdoor terrace, to enjoy the stunning views over Mount Versuvious.. Glorious! The star of the show is the Host Kevin though. From the introductory message before arrival, to giving us advice about how to get to the B & B, meeting us out the front of the building, to helping to carry our cases up to our room, nothing was too much trouble for him. He was very attentive & happy to chat about anything & everything. Advised on best places to eat locally, transport & what to expect on our day trips to other areas. He even left us a lovely take away breakfast for one of our day trips, as we had a very early start one morning & we would have missed breakfast otherwise. There is a convenient grocery store, just out the front too. It's quite conveniently located near a train station, so Naples, Sorrento & everything in between are easily accessible. We will definitely return!"

Astoria Hotel ★★★
"A great hotel! Next to the station waiting, the rooms are on one floor, there is no elevator, but there is only one small staircase, the staff expressed readiness to help with the luggage when necessary. Beautiful view from the window to the sea, the room is spacious, there is everything necessary. Two cabinets, teapot, fan, couch bed, blankets, double bed. The pillow was one for a person, but one was provided on request. The staff at the hotel is polite, that on the respiratory, that on breakfast. Restaurant is beautiful and modern, breakfast is good, a large choice of fruit (even kiwi and pineapple). It would definitely stop still. Very beautiful terrace with 24-hour access with sea view and city view"

"The service was amazing. The staff were beyond helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to accommodate. After arriving late we were late for breakfast but the staff put together a player of pastries and serve us coffee on the balcony. The bartender Rafael made an amazing drinks. My girlfriend asked for a cocktail ( French Blonde) off the menu and he was able to make it. We would definitely stay there again despite the hotel being a drive away from Sorrento."

Hotel Torre Barbara ★★★★
"The room was extremely clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is situated on a hillside overlooking the sea, offering breathtaking panoramic views. The hotel has a shuttle bus that picks you up from two train stations: Vico Equense and another whose name I can't recall right now. The second one is closer to the hotel. You can also book a bus to Naples Airport here for about €14 per person – a great deal! The bus journey takes just over an hour along the coastline, allowing you to enjoy the scenery on your way to the airport. The bus will stop at the hotel entrance; just ask the male receptionist. He'll tell you. I don't know his name because I was too busy, but he was incredibly helpful. He patiently waited with you for the bus, making sure you didn't get on the wrong one. I'm sorry, this place is just so incredibly beautiful. Once you're at the hotel, you don't need to go anywhere else. The hotel has about 22 rooms, so it's not crowded. You don't need to worry about privacy. The pool on the hillside is very clean, and the temperature is just right. The pool isn't deep. I'm 1.66 meters tall and can stand up to about chest height. Don't worry if you can't swim! The breakfast, lunch, and dinner here are all delicious. They even have lemon cocktails. I especially loved the tomato pasta. I've never had anything so good. This pasta was the first course of the main meal. Then on the first day, we had fried seafood. And for dessert, tiramisu. Italy is its birthplace. We watched the sunrise, sunset, afterglow, and the city lights across the way as night fell. We breathed in the fresh air deeply. On the stone path leading from the hotel's backyard to the restaurant, there's a lovely pomegranate tree laden with fruit. Below the garden is a cute little vegetable patch. All the vegetables are homegrown. There are lemon trees and fig trees. Occasionally, you might see one or two small lizards crawling around. Don't be afraid. You're much bigger than them. Swim for a while, sunbathe on a lounge chair, or play on your phone. After a good rest, go for a swim. This is a truly relaxing experience, and if you know how to enjoy life, don't miss it. However, don't book a deluxe ocean view room; you don't need it. The hotel's public areas all have stunning ocean views. The shuttle bus takes a break from 12 PM to 5 PM. There's no way around it; Italians need that much rest at midday. Besides picking you up from the two train stations, the shuttle can also take you to a nearby beach. I advise against it. Going to the beach requires booking a private club – the beachclub. They charge around €150 for two days. I don't think it's worth it. It's up to you. This was my first time staying at this hotel, and the value for money was amazing. What are you waiting for? There's a direct train from Naples. Have a great time!"

Hotel Oriente ★★★★
"Overall, it's an acceptable hotel, BUT there are a lot of stairs. Our room was on the -2 floor (according to the elevator), but after exiting the elevator, we still had to navigate through several labyrinths and go down more stairs to reach the room, which was very difficult with suitcases. The room itself was good and spacious, but cold, as the hotel is essentially built into a 'mountain'. The air conditioning for heating didn't work. Luckily, there were blankets, which helped. The soundproofing was poor as the room door didn't seal properly and had gaps. There's no complimentary water. Whatever we requested at the reception, we had to go get it ourselves (strange service). There's a good heated towel rail in the bathroom and a bidet shower. The staff is very polite. Breakfast: There's food available, but it's not very diverse. We arrived around 9:30 AM, and almost everything was gone, so we had to wait for more to be prepared. The hotel is close to the train station, which is convenient. The views from the hotel are very beautiful. Parking is paid (also very strange)."

"We had a lovely week here. The positives definitely out weighed the negatives. The views were stunning. I would definitely recommend booking a sea view room with balcony. The sunsets and views of Mount Vesuvius were just gorgeous. The pool was lovely and the water temp was perfect. We always got a lounger when we wanted one. It was very close to the train station, 10 min walk away on the same side of the road. The fact Seiano had its own harbour was a bonus too, it made taking boat trips a breeze. Two shops close by for snacks and drinks. The hotel offered trips to the Amalfi Coast and Capri which were very good value. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. There was a fridge and air con which were a god send on a hot day. A coffee machine or kettle at least would have been a welcome addition. A little noisy as right next to the road, but the blinds and curtains blocked out the street noise at night. The staff were all friendly. The food was pretty basic but ok. 3 courses and 3 options to choose from each evening for our starters and main course and a selection of desserts. I think you need to expect that from a 3 star hotel though. I would say it is a good solid 3 star hotel. If you want top notch then book a 4 or 5 star hotel. A great base for exploring in a truly outstanding area that won’t break the bank."

"When we arrived at the property, the owner's son was there to meet us and he provided codes for the main door, the lift and the apartment door. From then on it was easy to access the property when coming and going. The property was very easy to find and was nicely lit. The area felt very safe and vibrant. The property was situated on the top floor of the building. It was easy to get to as the stairs were clean and well-maintained. If you have mobility issues (or have heavy cases), there is a lift leading directly to the property (accessible with a code). Very convenient. The apartment itself was STUNNING!!! Very clean and super-spacious (HUGE living room/dining area with a sofa too), with all the amenities needed (dishwasher, washing machine, clothes airer, decent hairdryer, comfy beds). Both rooms has ample storage and coat hangers plus drawer units for clothes. The room is serviced every day to an exceptional standard. The air conditioning in the apartment was FANTASTIC!!! Vico Equense was especially hot when we arrived (from Scotland, so we are not accustomed to the heat) and it was very pleasant to be able to cool down after a day sightseeing. Each room has it's own air-con 'sector' so you can set it as you want. The private, outdoor space was a lovely haven to relax in. We could eat outside on the table and chairs or relax on the sun loungers, which was great. The communal outdoor areas were great too. There is a jacuzzi that can be booked by writing your name on a whiteboard and there is also a soft seating area to relax in. Again, perfect after a day on your feet. There is no pool onsite, but Paola, your host, who is very pleasant to deal with and super-responsive to any queries you may have (thank you!!!!), has another property further up in the hills and you can spend a relaxing day there, like we did. The view is simply wonderful and the food/drinks great too. Fantastic location in the area - 5-7 minute walk to the train station and in the centre of Vico."
