Hotel Manzanito

Rooms and beds are ok and clean. Staff is friendly and helpfull. The hotel is sentraly situated at Plaza San Sebastian, a very nice place close to the Alcazaba. We had a room in the first floor, and it was very noicy. The neighbour of the hotel is a Game room which is open untill 2 o'klock in the night. The skreaming an shouting from that place is easyly heard in the rooms of the first floor. So don't expect to sleep before the closing at 2 o'clock. We changed room to the second floor, an it was better, but still some noice, now from other rooms and the corridor. The nearby restaurant Leila, is a pearl.

This hotel is ideally placed to explore Antequera, and is near to plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Being located near to a stunning tower, it’s easy to find your way back to as well if you get lost! The hotel offers parking facilities nearby, but we didn’t use them as we’d already found a free car park a short walk away, with no restrictions re overnight parking. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly, and although we arrived earlier than the stated check-in time, we were able to access our room right away. The decor in reception was nice and there was a nice scent from some sort of air freshener which made for a good first impression. Our second floor room was clean and comfortable, with a double bed and a shower room. There was a TV and a fridge, neither of which we used. The decor was basic and I was disappointed to open the window shutters and find that it faced a wall with absolutely no view. This isn’t a room I would have wanted to stay for more than one night, but it was fine for our short visit and the location was perfect. There was also a lounge for guests to use with windows looking across to the tower and lovely trees of the area just outside.

We arrived at the Hotel and were greeted by a very helpful Girl on the reception desk , check in was easy , The room was a double bed with en suite and a small juliet balcony over looking Plaza San Sebastian , disappointingly the cups were polystyrene , there was no coffee and no milk , only 2 teabags and 2 apple tea bags , we discovered later that evening that the walls to the adjoining rooms were made of a very thin material as our neighbours were extremely noisy and didnt consider anyone else on the floor , sleep was short lived whenever they returned from their evening out , there wasnt a telephone in the room to call the desk and complain, overall not the best experience and i wouldnt recommend this Hotel

Great location, basic hotel and very reasonable priced. Room clean. Fragrance in hotel is overpowering. However really poor customer service. This really lets the the hotel down which is such a pity.

I stayed for two nights, with my husband, in May. We had the triple room (3 single beds) which made for a large room. It was furnished with the basics, shared nightstand, wardrobe, a small chest of drawers and a chair. It was brightly decorated in white and silver, and a kettle and polystyrene cups were provided although no fridge. The en-suite bathroom was a reasonable size with modern décor. Within the shower cubicle there was a soap dispenser and nothing else – no hooks or shelves. I get frustrated when trying to use facilities when there is nowhere to put shampoo etc. The hot water fluctuated from freezing to burning hot also, however, the pressure was powerful. There was a small Juliet balcony overlooking the square which gave a quaint outlook. The beds were okay: we managed to sleep but they were not the most comfortable. We hardly saw any staff, other than a person on reception, hidden behind a screen. Our check-in and out was purely functional without any interest, it appeared. The location is perfect for exploring Antequera but there is very little parking close by. The hotel had no other facilities, so we ate breakfast out. There are several bars within sight, right outside the hotel.

Lovely location in the middle of town. Good value for money. Big, modern bathroom. Very clean. Friendly and helpful reception staff. I would have liked net curtains on the window so that we didn't have to keep the curtains drawn which was a bit dingy - our window looked out at ground level to an inner courtyard/laundry where staff were coming and going. I would also have liked a kettle as advertised. Overall: I would definitely recommend as a very good budget hotel. Thank you!
