The nearest large supermarkets of Consum and Lidl are situated near the front entrance to the gated golf course, as is the Phillipe Starke inspired restaurant at the 525 Hotel, which comes highly recommended as does the El Patio III restaurant in the lively pedestrianised square nearby. The entire area is low-rise in the main, but for a dose of culture, the historic city of Cartagena is around 20mins away and has some inspiring architecture, museums, good shopping and a pretty waterfront area with bars and bistros. The city of Murcia (40mins) is also quite a discovery with a cosmopolitan feel, great shopping, dining and the impressive Roman ruins.
