Abi's Hotel & Spa Vlore

Nice hotel

We stayed at this hotel in Vlorë in July 2025. While the property itself was very clean and well maintained, our entire experience was ruined by how staff handled an accusation that we damaged the carpet in our room—something we did not do. We were out on a boat tour the entire day. When we returned, the receptionist stopped me before the elevator and showed a photo of orange-colored handprints on our carpet. We were shocked—it wasn’t there when we left. We immediately said it couldn’t have been us. The manager even noted at first that the marks might not have been handprints, but later told us the damage would cost 600 EUR. They refused to check our luggage or cosmetic bags, which we offered to show to prove we had nothing that could leave orange stains. The next morning, a manager and receptionist came to our room and forced all four of us—me, my husband, and our two teenage children—to try matching our hands to the stains. None of our hands matched, but they insisted it did, making us feel gaslit and humiliated. We asked them to review CCTV footage of who entered our room or check the housekeeping trolley, but they refused. Instead they threatened fingerprint analysis. We told them to call the police. Conflict police arrived and correctly told them to take the matter to the station. We complied. The local police, after hearing both sides, found no evidence of a criminal offense and told the hotel they could pursue it in civil court if they wanted. This ordeal lasted hours. Our taxi driver to Tirana was forced to wait over three hours while our children sat in the car in 85-degree heat without food or drink. The hotel staff showed no empathy for our situation. We’re experienced travelers and have never been treated with such disrespect or intimidation. This felt like either an outright scam or an attempt to blame us for damage someone else caused. We had loved Vlorë and were planning to return to Albania soon. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed our perception. We hope management takes this seriously. Travelers, please be aware.

Beautiful hotel with clean, well-sized rooms. It would be even better if they provided an iron in the bedrooms. Otherwise, a very nice hotel and the breakfast was amazing.

Very clean and quiet hotel. Staff very friendly also. Breakfast is huge (as usual in Albania lol) . To have the spa is a nice feature as well, we enjoyed it a lot! We were only disapointed about the steam room who was out of order and the hot tub who is cold (we are not used to cold hot tub lol) but the view from the spa worth it yet!!

Well-managed and super clean hotel. Everything was perfect, the service, the accommodation, the food, the wi-fi, and especially the SPA for the services, the facilities and the wonderful view it offered. Located on the Lungomare, it gives you the opportunity to walk and visit both the city and the surrounding beaches
