Calderfields Golf & Country Club

We played golf here and it's the worst conditions I've played for a while. Everywhere is playing firey due to dry weather but this was something different. Greens were shot and it felt like a council run course. Facilities felt very tired and unclean. Won't be returning.

Last played this course 2 years ago and was very impressed with the conditions of the course. Decided to return with a friend over the bank holiday weekend and was disappointed with the conditions of the course. Greens were very poor, like concrete, patchy and very bumpy as your putting. Pace of play very slow and an extremely rudenand arrogant course marshall. Definitely not woth the £32.50 green fee. I have played the likes of Druids Heath, Walsall, Great Barr, Bloxwich and Sutton Coldfield recently and the greens have all been in excellent condition and not much difference in cost of green fee so better value money and better quality golf courses in the area. The only positive to take was the friendliness of staff in thr pro shop and bar and the food and beer was reasonably priced for a golf club.

I have recently moved here from a holiday inn. I stay over four nights for work. I can honestly say that the difference is incredible. My lodge is situated just of the 18th green. I have squirrels running past my door and birds settling down o the fairways for the evening. I can watch golfers approach the 18th through my window. The reastuarant always has an offer on and the food has a great homemade feel and taste. Bar prices are competitive and the staff always have the craic about how my day has been. Crazy golf and a state of the art driving range is just few meters from the accomodoation. For the more seriouse golfers I think there is a pro shop with lessons and Virtual golf available. Laid back feelnin in the club house with a cracking pool table and dart board. What is not to like about this place ?. A breath of fresh air from your normal bussiness hotel.

Last week, we attended a wake at Calderfields. The team are fantastic, and the food was amazing. So today, I decided to go for a meal, and bring my friend along. The prices for the meals are decent, and plentiful. Mia who served us was lovely, along with the guy who was there too. Surprised that they don't get more footfall in the daytime, as there's a great choice on the menu. Thanks to all for the lovely welcome.

Excellent from booking with Julie to arriving and being greeted by staff . We started our day with drinks then shown to our table . Starters were served and were delicious . Staff we so lovely . Main was carvery which was amazing . The man serving the meats was happy and chatty . Deserts were amazing. I enjoyed the chocolate tree where my sister in law enjoyed the cheese board . One man stood out on the day and this was Neil. A credit to your Company . Will be booking again in 2025 Big thank you to all who worked that day it was amazing ❤️

Cannot fault the carvery, waited 20 minutes for a drink, some wanted puddings and waited 40 minutes, one pudding was profiteroles and there was 3 in a bowl and a tiny squirt of cream, a total rip off. Every single member of staff looked miserable and clearly not happy.
