Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp
"I cannot tell you how much this lodge made our entire holiday and has had such a huge impact on our time and a once in a lifetime experience. The staff cannot do anymore for you than they do. The tents are immaculate, the public areas perfect and the staff are so kind and friendly. The tents are straightened daily and hot blankets and heaters are turned on for you returning on a night-time. Nightly fires and blankets, fresh water constantly provided and friendly faces wherever you turn. The food is difficult to even describe. Fresh, different and cooked to perfection by a clearly extremely talented and charismatic chef, Johanes. Not to mention the amount of food you are offered, consistently at an incredible standard. I feel a particularly special mention should be made to our game driver, Andrew. For us he was the highlight of our trip and made this an unforgettable experience. Every question was answered with in depth knowledge and patience. When I say someone was born for this job, I genuinely mean it with this man. No question was too big or small and the facts he could provide were exceptional. He clearly has an in depth knowledge and care for his role. Outside of the game drives, he is constantly helping around camp, setting up fires, transporting guests, cleaning the pool and serving the food from early morning to late at night. I sincerely hope he knows that his hard work at the lodge is acknowledged and seriously appreciated. We understand that as guests, they see many of us come and go in short periods of time, but for us they are memories and individuals that shaped an unforgettable life- altering experience. From the bottom of our hearts I hope they know this. Tears were absolutely shed when driving away from the camp and we are already planning our return."
Zebula Boutique Hotel
Phumelelo Lodge
"Exquisite location with such friendly staff that stand at the ready to help and cater to every whim. Booking a regular room is recommended as the larger room has a door which borders the main guest area. As such, it is extremely noisy. This room also looks out on the main patio with no inner curtains with the result that there’s no privacy. A regular room offers the same level of comfort, but with added privacy on the deck area and its further away from the main guest area which offers peace and quiet. All rooms look out onto a beautiful valley with proverbial four poster beds shaped as elephant tusks. The only negative were the old, lumpy pillows, which need urgent replacement. The chef cooks traditional African meals which were delicious, but for this type of venue, needs perhaps a bit more finesse in terms of having better options for a continental breakfast and enquiring with guests as to how they would prefer their meat cooked beforehand. A word of warning to coffee lovers, there’s only instant coffee, so better go and enjoy the hospitality armed with your own!"

"It honestly felt like we were visiting family, Cobus and Magdel were amazing hosts and will definitely go back. The venue itself gives you peace....oh and the visits from the zebras, giraffes horse and dogs, oooh what a healing experience and the horse rides up to the mountains. absolutely loved Thandile Country Lodge and I will definitely go back with friends and family. "
BushTime Mabula
Nako Safari Lodge
"Oh my goodness NAKO you really do deserve 5 stars if I could rate it higher I would. Tanja, Choert and team are amazing and nothing is too much trouble they make you feel so welcome. We were so incredibly lucky to get to see all of the big 5. Choert knowledge of all the animals is amazing and you will love all the game drives. I must also mention the food at NAKO which is incredible and you certainly will not go hungry, its worth just going for the food and then relaxing at the waterhole, it is truly mesmerising. Once again many thanks team Nako for making our time a truly memorable experience. I really wanted to give you a 1 star rating because I wanted to keep NAKO a secret. Lol. Can’t wait to return."
