We had looked forward to our stay at Blackmore for some time. We were attending a wedding locally. Our expectations were surpassed by some measure! The Manor House is a wonderful place to stay with suits of armour, cannonballs and other medieval paraphernalia. The bedrooms are enormous with four-poster beds (very comfy) and wall-hung tapestries, big oak doors and open fireplaces. Breakfasts are served in the Great Hall with all manner of choice including full English. The Manor is surrounded by rolling countryside but the gardens are beautifully manicured with lush borders. We felt privileged to stay here but regretted it was for such a short time.

Pre booked this morning for 5 for breakfast for a family birthday. Arrived at 10am. Allocated ‘The Dog House’ shed. Cramped, uncomfortable seating, dingy and smelly. Breakfast took so long I got up and had a walk around outside as I couldn’t stand being couped up in the unappealing shed we were sat in and the air was much cleaner smelling outside! During this time 2 young girls who were members of staff were loudly bickering over a breakfast order. It sounded familiar so I said that sounds like our order and clarified what had been ordered. 40 minutes for breakfast to be served. Not all served together so those of us that had been served had to go ahead and eat as it would have been cold. The food tasted lovely and was well presented when it eventually arrived. The overall experience however was incredibly mediocre and we won’t be returning. An obvious apparent lack of experienced or professional staff.

Amazing character rooms, good selection for breakfast and Ian and Ann are great hosts. Get a group together and have one of their BBQs. Value for money and a great selection. Very comfortable and have used on a number of occasions- and will definitely be back!!

Well where do I start ! What an incredibly beautiful place - truly stunning accommodation & location, fabulous food and incredible hosts. Nothing was too much and we were spoilt from the very start of our adventure at Blackmore Farm to the moment we left. Thank you so much Ian and Ann for everything you did for us during our time at Blackmore Farm. I cannot recommend your venue highly enough ! 😊 x

We arrived back at 10:30 the Saturday night after our meal. Wanted to take a shower, but there was no warm water. We felt it was to late at night to bother our host and decided to tell him about it at breakfast. I was truly shocked at his responds. He did not apologise, but said as a quick responds( as if it is not a big deal) there were probably to many people that had just used water. 11 at night?? Then he said it must be the water supplier so basically NOT his problem. When we were not satisfied he finally gave a quick non care sorry. Not what you would expect of a place like that. Really shocking and disappointing. This was a weekend away with friends- their Christmas gift.

Wow! What a great place, wonderful history, exceptional food and a special bedroom in the main building. We thoroughly enjoyed our 24 hrs at the Farm and the staff were so friendly and helpful. As a party of 20, the dining area was superb and it made the celebration feel very special. The food was delicious, the mains being all hot and a huge selection of vegetables. To do that in one serving was impressive! A special, unique and enchanting place. Would definitely return. 👍🏻👏🏻

We have now stayed twice at Blackmore Farm in the Cider Press accommodation. Firstly just the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. Absolutely ideal as it has its own little secure garden. Fully furnished and kitted out with everything you need to be self sufficient. We then visited again taking my elderly mother. Again our hosts Ian and Ann were so accommodating and friendly. Excellent breakfast. We will be back again no doubt

Host was rude, electrical outage continuously, no apologies. Warned not to have showers at same time as others guests as water would run out. It ran out, didn’t come back. Host knew this problem was there but still charged and made no apologies
