Weishan Nanzhao Chinese Siheyuan Hotel

During my trip to Weishan, I stayed at the Weishan Nanzhao Courtyard Hotel. The overall experience was quite good, and I'd like to share some small details with you. The hotel's location is fantastic, within walking distance of the ancient city, making it very convenient for getting around. There are also many unique snack shops nearby, perfect for satisfying your cravings. The quaint decor captivated me upon entering. The courtyard's carved corridors, blue tiles, and red eaves exude a sense of history, creating a sense of immersion and making for stunning photos. The room's furniture is also unique, preserving a traditional style and giving you a strong sense of cultural ambiance. The staff were also friendly, checking in quickly, and even offering to help with luggage, which was very thoughtful. However, the hotel also has some imperfections. The room layout is a bit illogical, with insufficient space utilization, making movement a bit cramped. The lack of a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom was a particular problem. After showering, the entire bathroom was soaking wet, which was inconvenient and prone to slipping. I hope the hotel can improve this in the future. Overall, if you don't mind these minor shortcomings and pursue a quaint accommodation atmosphere and a convenient location, this hotel is still worth staying at and can add a different color to your trip.

The hotel is modeled after a Beijing courtyard house and looks great in photos. The owner said it opened this year and is completely new, seemingly renovated from the former office compound. The floors and main structure are over a decade old, and the wall paintings are probably new, so there's no smell. It's much cleaner and tidier than most B&Bs. The owner's wife personally cleans everything, taking care of every detail. The owner and his wife are incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are two tea areas where you can chat and enjoy the fresh air. One neighbor mentioned staying at another B&B in the ancient city and finding it less pleasant, and they agreed. There's even a glass room upstairs for drying clothes. The hotel is very close to the Dafu Farmers Market, making it convenient for buying fruit and other things. It's a short cut to the ancient city, only about five or six minutes away. Our family of five stayed for nine nights and was very comfortable. It was a truly wonderful stay. Oh, and I highly recommend staying on the second floor for better ventilation! This place is nothing special; it's simply because the owner and his family are so kind. Although located outside the ancient city, the inn is very close and convenient. It was quiet and clean at night. The courtyard-style building is truly unique, with easy parking. I heard it's only been open for a month and a half, so the facilities are relatively new, with air conditioning and polished wooden floors. The owner personally helped with our luggage, made us tea, and chatted with us. His service was impeccable. The room was clearly furnished with great care, including a disposable toilet seat and plenty of hot water for showering. The bathroom was small and lacked a dry and wet area, but that wasn't a problem. Great review!
