"When we checked in, I mentioned wanting to check out the room types, and they showed us the same type on the top floor. I really liked the small terrace next to it and asked if we could stay upstairs. The staff said that the room rates in Weishan had gone up the day before our check-in, now it was 410 yuan per room. I didn't think much of it at the time and paid the difference. But, looking at the online platforms now, the hotel doesn't have any rooms for 410 yuan."

"The hotel is newly opened and the location is convenient. It is right on the edge of the ancient city. It is very convenient to visit the ancient city. It is just across an alley. It has its own parking lot, parking is convenient, the room facilities are complete, the conditions are good, the bed is hard, the bath water is large and hot, and there is a free fruit plate in the evening. The donkey meat restaurant next to the hotel has delicious food."

"The location is very good, next to the Gongcheng Tower, and the sightseeing bus is right next to it after getting off the high-speed train. The courtyard is very comfortable, and the owner is very polite and enthusiastic. He changed the room inside, which is very quiet. There are many foods nearby as soon as you come out, and the hygiene in the room is also good."

"The newly opened hotel is located near the old town, quite close to the core of the ancient city, right next to the Nanzhao Museum. It has parking and charging facilities, making it convenient for those driving. It's also very close to the Vanguard Bookstore. The rooms were clean and hygienic, and the beds were very comfortable. A complimentary gift pack of steam eye masks, hand cream, and tissues was provided upon check-in."

Nanzhao Cheap Hotel (Weishan Ancient City High-speed Railway Station Branch)

"I prioritized access from the station to go to Weibao Mountain. However, I was able to walk to the ancient city, which was very enjoyable. As other reviews have said, the bathroom door didn't close, the water was very lukewarm, and the room was cold because it didn't have air conditioning. The toilet was not Western-style. The room itself was clean and just as shown in the photo. The front desk staff were very friendly."

"This is lovely hotel, by far the best option, in the charming town of Weishan. This is a much less touristy option than some of the more well known old towns around the Dali area, where you can escape the throngs of tourists. The hotel is beautifully designed and restored, breakfast is enjoyable, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and discrete. The staff even went out of their way and helped me find a local vendor to purchase a few copper plates that I saw in the hotel room. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
