Excellent boutique hotel. Room was incredible, bright & airy, clean & brand new with comfortable bed & thick soft towels. Great staff, special thank you to the woman at check in, so very kind & helpful. Located at quiet leafy new neighborhood at edge of town. There were a few restaurants & stores nearby. Old town about 15 minutes walk away. A nice park right behind the hotel (down the steps) Do note that breakfast is at an outside eatery, their offerings were minimal.

This is absolutely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious and bright. I booked two rooms for one night. The rooms have a smart home system and great hot and cold water pressure. Each room has a complimentary minibar and many thoughtful amenities. The hotel is located in the old town, in a superb location. The owners are warm and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a new Chinese-style courtyard house with white walls and tiles. The atmosphere is full of misty rain, and it has elegant rooms and immersive courtyard leisure space. 🛏️ Indoor Room - Modern minimalist luxury decoration, light wood floor + soft milk apricot color, clean and transparent, excellent lighting - Completely furnished: large viewing window, wall-mounted air conditioning, TV desk, dry and wet separation glass bathroom, high comfort - soft decoration is gentle and tidy, light color bedding + quiet curtains, quiet and healing, very suitable for vacation quiet 🏡 Courtyard garden view 1. Architectural style: typical Chinese courtyard, ink white walls with blue bricks and gray tiles, hand-painted murals, traditional moth gate buildings, full of national charm, wall blessings, landscape mural atmosphere 2. Landscape layout: red brick path surrounded the lawn, with natural goose* stone edge, green bamboo plantain, rockery flowing water, koi pond, one step at a time, wet and fresh after the rain, Jiangnan Zen full 3. Leisure package: many thatched sunshade tea pavilion, solid wood bamboo chair + whole Kung Fu tea table, sit and drink tea, chat and relax, the atmosphere is excellent 4. To escape the frenzy of Kunming ancient town, we took a 2.5 hr train ride to Weishan - an authentic, uncommercialized old town with the splendid Yuan Chuang Yi Su hotel. The bed is super comfortable, and the window seat great for relaxing after a truly hot shower. Sanitized towels are delivered daily in sealed bags and CGTN for foreign guests is available on a huge TV! Yuan Chuang Yi Su's owner is a Mensch. His fluency in English and passion for his adopted town enriched our China trip. He sensed my vegetarian needs and whisked me off to the local market! Yuan Chuang Yi Su is the smartest, but the least expensive of our 28 day trip in Guangdong - Yunnan. We relished the smart set-up, the gleaming interior and delightful neighborhood of eateries. The hotel is truly a train-rider's dream: just 25 minute walk away from Weishan Railway station and 5 minutes from the inexpensive tourist buses that take you as far as Weibaoshan and East Lotus Village.

This is a newly renovated boutique guesthouse from 2025. On the day of check-in, the owner personally gave us a warm welcome. It felt just like coming home, with no sense of restraint. The guesthouse is built around a large courtyard, featuring a two-courtyard layout with Ming and Qing dynasty-style decor. There are plenty of public areas, and it even has its own parking lot! The room was a pleasant surprise; it was incredibly well-equipped, and all the amenities had the hotel's branding. I stayed in an air-conditioned room which was very comfortable, and it was peaceful at night. The hotel is also only 300 meters from Weishan, making it super convenient for exploring the ancient city. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Weishan!

I really like Donglianhua Village, which has a strong Islamic style. The owner of the inn, Pony, is super handsome and enthusiastic. He invited me to have dinner. His courtyard is clean and beautiful, and the rooms are also full of ethnic style, with small horse lanterns. The caravan culture is very authentic. I feel like I am a Ma Guotou. It is very convenient to go to Weishan Ancient City from the village. There is a minibus at the entrance of the village, which goes directly to Weishan Ancient City. The bus runs every half an hour. If you catch up with the market day, you can take the minibus. Go to Dianzhong Street or Temple Street to see the rich market. There is cattle and sheep trading. It is very interesting. It is a good place to learn more about Weishan County. The people are simple and warm. I like it very much.

You don't usually expect much from a hotel near a railway station, but this one's actually pretty decent and the owners are super welcoming. We even got upgraded to a bigger room with a mahjong table and spent a good chunk of time playing card games. The room comes with TV, AC, hairdryer, few bottles of water, some tea, and toiletries. Keep in mind: all rooms have squat toilets. Still, for the price, I'm really happy with this stay

Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city? This old house guesthouse is the perfect choice! The restored house retains its original charm; the wooden floorboards creak gently underfoot, and the exquisite wood and brick carvings exude a timeless elegance. The guesthouse is simply and elegantly furnished, without unnecessary embellishments. Here, you don't need to rush or plan your trip; simply enjoy the slow pace of life. This healing and relaxing experience made me want to stay two more nights and never leave. I'll definitely be back!

It is very convenient to be next to the snack street in the ancient city, and it is also very close to the central street of the ancient city; the boss is very enthusiastic! He will recommend a lot of food that only locals eat, and often organize activities and dinners to go around. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, friends from other places came back to celebrate the festival together, and the festive atmosphere was full; you can also cook in the youth hostel, and there are chefs among the friends who travel with you, and there are dogs to play with; I originally wanted to stay for three days, but later I slowly got to know Weishan and liked the people here more. I had a super good time with my friends in the youth hostel, and I kept staying and didn’t want to leave; I will come back next time if I have the chance!

No toilet paper. Just thin tissues. The room has little to none surfaces to put your own stuff. Room had no table, I had to ask for one, and it was delivered. So at least they tried to deliver an acceptable service. You can hear how your neighbors from all sides take shower or use toilet. Constant sound of loud running water. Sound isolation is terrible. After listening to all that for few hours, I packed my stuff and went to a nearby hotel. Would not recommend to anyone.
