The hotel overlooks Lake Windermere. When swimming in the hotel swimming pool, you can see the beautiful scenery of the mountains and lakes at sunset. The hotel's dinner is very good and you must try it. The breakfast is still the regular English breakfast in British hotels, but it tastes good.

The room facilities are rather old and the view outside the window is blocked by a dirty and waterlogged roof.
The water pressure was inconveniently low and the hair dryer had very little power but was as noisy as an industrial blower.
