"We booked a room here and oh boy were we dead wrong….we didn’t actually stay the night because the minute we saw the place we pulled our reservation…there’s homeless drug addicted zombies everywhere….the weird Indian guys running the place are about as useful as a football bag….the two we met behind the front desk were yammering into cell phones, rude and creepy…the place smelled like a soiled diaper and was filthy…and this is the front desk area…within seconds we left…we’re lucky we did t get bugs…DO NOT stay here…I’m pretty sure it’s a glorified crack house and shooting gallery."

"Our original overnight reservation was in August, but my mother-in-law passed unexpectedly. I e-mailed Four Columns Inn who allowed us to reschedule to a later date in November which we did, also adding a second night stay. The Inn was spotless, all the staff extremely friendly and helpful, and dinner both nights was beyond our expectations! I had the salmon and steak frites, and my wife the chicken marsala. We also had breakfast at the Inn on the Sunday of our departure. The new owners have "raised the bar" with customer service and with the restaurant. I cannot say enough positive comments about Bridget, the Inn manager who always checked on us to assure our stay was the best possible."

"Couldn’t get my room above 68 degrees. Balcony doors had visible gaps causing cold Air to blow into room. In-room coffee maker had old grounds still in there. Gross. So figured I’d wait until 7 am when coffee is supposed to be served in lobby. It’s now 7:30 and nothing."

"The hotel is relatively new, with two bedrooms and three very comfortable 5-foot beds. Parking is convenient, and it's the best hotel in the nearby towns. The breakfast is quite generous, with takeout plates and bags provided for those on the go. The cleanliness is excellent, except for the clogged drain, which made showering uncomfortable. The sound of footsteps upstairs is quite noticeable, and the sound of passing cars outside is also quite noticeable, but not very frequent. Overall, it's a good stay."

"Just don't. I gave it a shot based on some positive recent reviews. I should have slept in my car. The woman who checked us in was very friendly. That's where the positive ends. The smoke detector was off the wall with the battery out. The microwave was dirty. The bathroom door didn't close completely. The beds were rock hard on a metal platform and squeaked with every move. Flat pillows. We had one lightbulb. The security latch was only halfway there - didn't latch with only half of it there. I should have left, but it was late. We checked out and had to call someone, who I can only assume was still asleep. No breakfast as advertised, but we wouldn't have stayed anyway. I normally don't leave reviews, but no. No. NO!"

"Comfortable, VERY clean, hospitable! Hot tub was beautiful after a day of skiing, and hot breakfast is perfect before a day of skiing. Cozy and cute. Cannot wait to return. Conveniently located walking distance to Magic Mountain, which has a good restaurant with live music, and another Inn right up the road with a bar and dinner spot. 20 min drive to Okemo."

"My mother-in-law has been staying here for years now and always raves about her experiences. This year, my husband and I spent our anniversary with y’all. My husband was in charge of the flights and I was in charge of booking our stay with you at the inn. Well, on our first day there I realized we flew out a day later than I had expected. Wonderful news, but I had only booked 3 nights with you. Your staff was so accommodating and we were able to get moved to a new room. While I preferred the humming bird cottage (great water pressure, comfy tub, more counter pace), room 3 was adequate. The bed was quite loud (very squeaky LOL) and the sink was hard to use (water flow was tough to access). Also the shower had low water pressure and the tub was slow to drain. These are all things that I realize come with an aging establishment, but wanted you to know. Your staff was so kind and friendly. We love all our meals (and room snacks too) and the ambiance was absolutely delightful. It was a true escape for us both. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for making our 17th anniversary a memorable one. See you soon!"

"We accidentally ended up here, this Inn was not in our original plans, BUT I must say it was a very big blessing and we were so glad we did. The peace at this Inn was immeasurable and some of the views from this location are breathtaking. The view from our room was absolutely lovely and we very much enjoyed our time while we were there. Additionally, the owners were very welcoming and made you feel valued as a guest. The Inn was also very … clean and that is something I personally value when staying somewhere."

"The room is very small, and the service is not good. Even though I have already paid for the room, they actually charged a deposit of 300 USD per room, saying that it will be refunded after leaving the hotel. Half a month has passed, and there is no news. I do not recommend staying here."

"My fiancé and I stayed at The Hermitage Inn this past weekend while touring wedding venues, and we instantly fell in love with this beautiful property. Mary Lou, the owner, personally gave us our tour, and her passion and attention to detail were incredible. We loved the inn so much that we decided to upgrade our plans from an elopement to a small wedding here. Our stay in the Coldbrook King room exceeded our expectations! The fireplace, peaceful atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities made it the perfect getaway. Dinner at The Birches Dining Room was amazing and gave us a wonderful preview of what our wedding reception will be like. The Hermitage Inn is truly magical, and we cannot wait to celebrate our special day here!"
