Great
Aautumn titaniumThis place is a gem - convenient location in a safe/quiet neighborhood close to the city centre, clean and spacious room with kitchen and cooking utensils, free and secured parking, helpful and friendly owner, affordable rates. The place has no reception counter. To check-in, the guest has to arrange with the owner via phone or email prior to arrival. As I was on a long flight and I had no phone/data roaming in Namibia, I didn't see the owner's email and I was stuck outside the place without a way to get in. Luckily I drove to a nearby hotel and borrowed the phone to call the owner, and the owner (who actually lives elsewhere) came to open the door for me within 10-15 minutes. Next time if I come here again, I should contact the owner 1 day before arrival, so that the owner knows my arrival time and sends me the check-in instructions in time.
GGuest UserThe environment is very good, retro and modern, a bit like the big hall in Hong Kong. The room is large, 35 square meters, the balcony connects the courtyard, and the trees are shaded. The staff is also very helpful. Nearby is the consulate area, opposite the Japanese consulate.
GGuest UserHilton, not much to say, you get what you pay for, convenient transportation, eating, drinking and playing around, the small bar on the rooftop is very charming, except that it is a little small, there is no other problem.
DDenis Ushakov/Accommodation began with a scandal - they didn’t want to put me in a 4-star building (reserved), sending me to a nearby motel with dark rooms and bars on the windows! Thanks to the tripkom team - they simply broke the local manager and transferred me to the court building. The hotel is located right at a small airport (no more than 10 local flights per day), clean room. The hotel had an amazing breakfast with lots of cereals, salads, fruits! Thanks for that! Although the dinner (called in the room) was very average in quality. Even the steak (which Namibia usually knows how to cook) was inedible!
AAnonymous UserGood location in the city center, free parking in the parking lot of the mall property, and security guards on each floor. You can walk directly to the hotel through the mall.
The room is spacious and quiet.
The supermarket downstairs closes very early. There is also a cafe on the first floor.
HHuppertDavidWe liked the King Room (Accessible) which had a bathtub and a working refrigerator and heater but mistakenly reserved the regular King Room on the trip back which had no heat or working refrigerator, but we made do for a couple of days. The Hilton Garden Inn is less expensive than the regular Hilton next door so some inconveniences should be expected when staying here. The Hilton Garden Inn did allow me to use the fully equipped fitness center at the regular Hilton since theirs wasn't functioning. The hotel shuttle to the airport was a bit pricey and we ended up using our own transportation to/from the Windhoek airport. Overall, it could have been better.
RRobert PateliusStandard facility. Great location. Near to the international airport road. Breakfast was disappointing. Not advisable to include breakfast when booking. Otherwise, all other facilities were okay.
AAnonymous UserThe overall stay experience was not bad, give it 80 points. The location of the hotel is quite convenient and the surrounding facilities are relatively complete. The cleanliness of the room is average and the sanitary conditions need to be improved. The bed comfort is medium and the quality of sleep is OK. Overall, the price/performance ratio is OK, but there is room for improvement.
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful experience at the Mercure Hotel Windhoek. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you! Will recommend to my colleagues!
