First time stay , and was very successful the room, bed , shower / bathroom were all on point. We ate in the pub downstairs as well , food was average , fish & chips . Was all slightly over cooked, which was disappointing, but not a surprise. Food is only as good as the person cooking it, so be it frozen , fresh the attention to detail is on the chef/ cook . Didn't take away from the room though or the stay .

Gives Premier Inn a run for its money I had a lovely room on the 1st floor. As a solo traveller, the hotel gives the local Premier Inn a run for its money.

Fantastic stay, 100% recommended The team at the Railway Hotel are very friendly and relaxed. My room was spotless and had great decor, comfortable bed and enough space to get some work done too. Breakfast was excellent as are the brewery's beers on tap. Definitely recommend for leisure or work.

Beautifully restored heritage pub with quality materials, great service (thanks sidney) , Harveys on tap, great breakfasts and lovely location opposite the train station and walking distance to the sea

Excellent place to stay What a great place to stay , slightly quirky , we had a standard room and it beats the local Travel Tavern by miles. Great looking pub downstairs ( we were on the second floor) and the breakfast was excellent . Staff were routinely friendly , very polite and very helpful.

Lovely Place and Perfect location for our needs. Can tell a lot of work has been put in to updating the place. Check in was nice and quick. Staff member was helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. Same occurred when we required use of the iron. Little bits of wear and tear in the room but overall a nice and comfortable experience. Rainfall shower was especially nice. Nice bar and outdoor seating area should you require it. Also discount on food if you needed it however, we didn’t have a chance to experience either of these in the evening due to plans. Breakfast was ok. Choice was good however, for some reason one breakfast was brought out before the other despite us both having the same order. So it was either eat alone or eat it cold as we waited another 5 minutes for the second breakfast which seemed very bizarre. Staff were pleasant about it just seemed as if it had been misread and not seen the x2 and that could have just been explained instead just it’s coming soon. Just a small issue but overall a nice stay.
