The environment is great, the room is square, the aunt who cleans the room every day is very serious, there is a bath on the 2nd floor, there is a sauna inside, and you can wash clothes and dry outside, but there seems to be dust in the dryer. In terms of environment, it is very close to Yamagata Station, but the hotel is quite remote. In addition to these, the others are very satisfied and the price is very high.

Walking distance from JR station, excellent breakfast, clean and comfortable and large room. warm room during winter time, helpful and nice staff, hotel just next to bus terminal to other prefectures, e.g. Sendai.

Spacious for me. Although a bit old it good conditions. Only issue is thar the aircon it either on or off and it pretty warm so for late autumn and winter it is alright. Breakfast is either Japanese or western and the lounge is cosy. The carpark is a multi storey carpark west of the hotel so to drive past the building and anticlockwise. Good deal when I book it for 1 night. There a family mart right below.
3-minute walk from Yamagata Station's east exit and a minute's walk to the bus stop to Sendai

It looked very old hotel. Overall, the entrance and corridor were dark, and the air conditioning had about 5 buttons on the air conditioner, and there were few choices because the room temperature was set from among them, and it was a little cold.
The bed was clean and comfortable. The cleaning was good and there was no dust accumulating in the corner of the room or at the end of the door.

The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to find food nearby. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with many free amenities, including KOSÉ facial products. The breakfast was also delicious.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We were a group of 14 people, and they had arranged our rooms ahead of time, so the check-in process was fast and efficient.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

1. Location of the hotel is nice!
2. Double Room size is pretty small which is 140m2 onlty! So, I would not reccomend those who have kids!
3. Toilet is very tiny! also bathtub can't fit a small kid!
4. The Freezer is very small! I have never seen such a small freezer. So, couldn't fit our Bento Box!
5. The hotel is old, and not properly maintained, for example; shower curtain is broken, and attach it with tape!

Excellent
GGuest UserI had high expectations for the hotel before I left, but when I arrived, I found it was just average. The price was surprisingly expensive, and many details were not as good as those of chain hotels. The only thing worth praising was that the room was very spacious. The waiters were really nice on the surface, but they didn't do anything at all. They promised to do something but didn't do anything after a long time. I will never go there again next time.
GGuest UserEven though we called the hotel stating that we would be late for the check-in and dinner as there was heavy snow in the highway. The staff postponed it to 730. However, the snow was so heavy, we lost our way in town and we arrived at 8:10. The staff saying that we were too late and rejected to provide any food for us. we had to walk downhill to the town to find our own dinner. however, on the second night of our stay, we noticed that the other guests were having dinner at 9:10 when we passed by the restaurant. We know that we were late, but I believed that hotel is in the hospitality industry, the staff have to be considerate to the guests. as we were not meant to be late on purpose, just because of the bad weather outside, we couldn’t drive fast. We were in the highway 2 1/2 hours without any food and drink in the hope of arriving on time.
WWith my shutterIt is a very comfortable place to stay, like being at home. A large hotel. The location for those with cars is good. It is located on a fairly high slope, but it is right next to ski slope number 3. From the hotel, you can walk out to the side and slide down to the ski slope. The advantage is that it is convenient here.
The disadvantage is that I do not have a car. At night, I have to go up and down the slope quite far from the main road. But I can walk comfortably because the weather is cold.
Pros and cons The hotel has private and public hot springs. The public hot spring is free. Very good. I soaked every day.
Book breakfast and dinner. It is delicious and very worthwhile.
The hotel has a free shuttle service until 5:30 p.m. If anyone travels, please inform the hotel to pick you up. It is very good.
MMuse YueThe hotel staff uses a translator to communicate, so verbal communication is no problem, and the arrangements are also very detailed. Meal times and free private bath reservation times are clearly listed on the paper. The hotel has a shuttle bus to Zao Ropeway Station, and we went there first. We went to the hotel after visiting Bingshu Plateau. Due to the heavy snow and heavy luggage, the coffee shop staff called the hotel car to pick us up, which was very nice. It is a nationally certified natural hot spring. It has a large bathhouse and a private hot spring (guests can use it once for free). It is a great experience. It is beautiful to soak in the open-air hot spring and watch the falling snow. But the hot spring floor is slippery and my sister slipped and hit her, so be careful when walking.
GGuest UserTypical Japanese room, comfortable. Quite nice!
Convenient location because close to the train station and restaurants
Cold welcome. Few explanations. The owner gave me the key in 5 seconds by telling me ”room eight” and making signs to tell me ”1 floor, left, then right”, except that the numbers on the room doors were in Japanese, so incomprehensible to me... Finally, she went up to show me by repeating ”eight!” 2 or 3 times, as if it were obvious.
Otherwise, no problem.
TTeoGeraldA wonderful place to stay in. The service was fantastic. The room was huge, much too large for just a solo traveler like me but it would have been perfect if I had brought my wife and child along. The onsen quality was great, albeit the fittings at the shower area were a bit old. The food was hands down amazing and featured great local produce. Honestly there was too much for one person to finish! What I especially liked was that they had a separate room on the first floor where if it was too early for you to check in, you could drop your luggage off, change, and then grab your gear and head to the slopes. Same thing if you intend to charge the slopes a bit more on your last day, just leave your stuff in the storage room, hit the slopes, come back and change out, hit the onsen for the last time, then go off. Definitely recommending this place to my friends visiting Zao.
RRosina KimIt’s quite a big hotel, 3 buildings are connected and there are many rooms. The rooms are a bit outdated but still maintained well. Service was good and flexible. Transportation to the village is quite necessary when the roads are covered by snow, especially with luggage. They have free shuttle bus which is great.
Best parts: 1. Dinner semi-buffet has unlimited alcoholic beverages including local sake, draft beer and wines. 2. Ski & board rental shop is right outside of the hotel. Although hotel only accept cash for the lift ticket, you can rent the gear (rental shop accepts credit card) and ski down the hill (20sec) to the cable ticket counter to buy ticket, pay by credit card. The location has lifts 5,6 and cable 4
SshawndaikiExcellent location short walk from Yamagata station.
A better location might be located on the east side of Yamagata station as there are more food and beverage and convenience stores available.
Dated property but cozy and functional. A man made onsen within the property doesn’t hurt. We also had a rental car and overnight parking was ¥600.
Complimentary breakfast however you must account for time and occupancy, we did not have time to enjoy it due to the lines.
Service was top notch. Hotel was helpful with directions and translation.
A senior lady went the extra mile to assist with contacting next hotel and even considered train timings as well as advising us to stay in Yamagata and not go early as there was nothing available in the next onsen town.
GGuest UserVery satisfied, although the furnishings are a bit old, but it has a sense of age and is very clean.
The Japanese breakfast is especially good. It changes every day.
AAnonymous UserThere was a little bit of a problem with the pick-up at Zao Onsen Station at the beginning. The operator's English was not very good, but we were finally picked up! Then the hotel is relatively old, but very clean! On the last day when we were about to leave, we asked if we needed to pick up guests at the station, and then they just helped us to pick up at the station, so the round-trip pick-up service was very good!
