Our recent visit to the Governor's Residence was an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish! Everything, from the moment we arrived, was truly exceptional.
The food was nothing short of phenomenal. Each dish was expertly prepared, showcasing incredible flavors and presentation. It was clear that immense care and culinary skill went into every bite. Equally impressive was the fantastic service. The staff were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Their genuine warmth and efficiency truly elevated the entire meal.
Overall, the entire experience at the Governor's Residence was out of this world. It was a memorable occasion that exceeded all expectations. We can't recommend it highly enough for anyone seeking a truly premier dining and hospitality experience.

Learn from the past!
Continuity is power!
The latest hotels are nice, but the friendly and attentive service at the historic Belmont Cavanagh Residence was wonderful, and the view of the greenery, trees, and buildings was also wonderful. The interior of the room, the bed, sofa, washroom, and toilet were all excellent, especially the spacious, clean bathtub with hot water, and the breakfast was also excellent, with delicious coffee. I really liked it, thank you, and will visit again.

Perhaps because it was the holiday period, traditional Myanmar food was served.
Room service was also attentive and I was very satisfied.
There was also a wide variety of menu items to choose from for breakfast, which was delicious.

I stayed at Governor’s Residence in Yangon for two weeks in May 2025, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The room was fantastic – spacious, elegant, and full of colonial charm with every modern comfort. What stood out most was the service: warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful throughout my entire stay. The tranquil garden setting and beautiful pool made it feel like a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Yangon.

There may be bigger hotels in Yangon but I can't imagine any one that's a better choice than this boutique-size, luxury option. From check-in to checkout, the Governor's Residence staff is friendly, helpful and highly professional. The guestrooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. The breakfasts are ample, delicious and served with a smile. Meanwhile, the location is quiet, peaceful and conducive to a great night's rest. The five nights I spent recently at the Governor's Residence was my second occasion to stay there. It certainly won't be my last. Welcoming and accommodating, this hotel earns my highest recommendation.

I just returned from a 3week stay at Governor's Residence and am still delighted by the way I was welcomed and taken care of.the atmosphere in this old colonial style house with its trees,flowers, peacocks and pool is unique. The management and the whole stuff are excellent in making us feel comfortable and at home.the food is delicious and the breakfast wonderful. My stay in Governor's is an unforgettable experience and i thank the whole team, i miss you already, and will be back for sure.

This old colonial hotel has a fresh and contemporary look on all levels. The rooms are spacious and clean with all comfort you need. The staff is very friendly and loves to serve their guests. The restaurant serves delicious food which is also a feast for the eyes. A beautiful garden full of amazing birds and places with shadow. The swimming pool makes it complete in warm Yangon. A must go experience.

Our favourite place in Yangon. After a few fantastic meals, we decided to book a staycation. Beautiful building, service is spot on, food is amazing, such good value for money. We will definitely be back. Many thanks for all the staff for making such an effort for customers.
