Pan Pacific Yangon ★★★★★

📍 Corner of Bogyoke Aung San Road and ဘုရားလမ်း, Yangon, Myanmar (Burm, Pabedan Township, Kyauktada

"The hygiene was terrible. It felt like the room hadn't been used in a long time, with a strong musty smell. The bedsheets weren't clean, and the breakfast was just mediocre and unappetizing. Plus, the lobby wasn't on the ground floor, which was inconvenient."

The Strand Yangon ★★★★★

📍 No.92 Strand Rd, Kyauktada Township, Kyauktada

"The atmosphere was amazing, truly exuding its historical charm as one of the luxurious hotels in the colonial period, and now tastefully revived as a boutique-esque hotel. Service was great, especially Thinzay and Htet who welcomed me and gave a tour around the room, and explained all services. Ingyin was also amazing in her service helping me with the checkout and trip to the airport. Overall great experience and would recommend for your stay in Yangon."

Hotel G Yangon ★★★★

📍 No. 5 Alan Pya Pagoda St, Dagon Township, Kyauktada

"The room wasn't big, but it was very clean. The surrounding area is great with Japanese restaurants and Lanzhou pulled noodle shops nearby, which is very convenient. It's also very close to the Great Pagoda. The staff were very welcoming and greeted me warmly."

Sedona Hotel Yangon
8.4 (145 reviews)

Sedona Hotel Yangon ★★★★★

📍 1 Kabar Aye Pagoda Rd, Yankin Township, Thingangyun

"Worst check in experience ever had in a 5 star hotel. During check in, manager in the lobby desk, no eye contact, no greeting, not even a smile. She just take my passport and pass to her staff, didn't even tell me to walk that counter. Cannot believe this will happen in sedona hotel. Highly suggest training and review the lobby manager who on duty during my check in. However the other lobby staff are helpful at all. The lobby manager must change her working attitude and be like a professional in a five star hotel."

"The room had a high ceiling, about 3.5 meters, which really gave it a spacious feel. The British-style decor was very well-designed, and the hotel paid great attention to every detail. THE ERAVATI Sule Grand Yangon ★★★★★
"This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed. It’s formerly known as Rosewood Yangon and now reopened for 8 months. Everything is excellent, very friendly, patient and helpful staff, extraordinary service. The hotel’s history dates back to 1927 so it’s absolutely a historical building. The decoration is very exquisite, breakfast is tasty and there are many choices. The location is also good and safe, very near to Sule Plaza, General Post Office and British Embassy. On terrace you can see the river view. I want to especially express my gratitude to Vanessa and Swar, they provided me with a lot of detailed information so I can know more about this hotel, this city and this country. Please make sure they can receive this feedback and my appreciation! Meanwhile, the front desk Moo Thaw, Luca showed me the hospitality. Next time I come to Yangon, I would consider choosing this hotel again, and also I will recommend it to my friends. Hope you can keep this level 😃"

Lotte Hotel Yangon ★★★★★
"The hotel overall is great with good swimming pools sauna and restaurants but one things is that we woke up early and went down to have the breakfast buffet which is included in the booking. The staff told us that we are not allowed to go in with pyjamas but with selected dress code. Once we arrive inside there were several foreigners and locals wearing pyjamas.."

The Strand Yangon ★★★★★
"The Strand Yangon ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎ ★★★ Unfortunately, over the years, by the 1980s, the hotel had become completely dilapidated. However, Amanresorts founder Adrian Zecca recognized its value and invested in preserving this historic building, embarking on renovations. In 1993, he successfully revived it. In other words, this hotel is a testament to the passion of two hotel legends. What might seem like standard rooms is a whopping 55 square meters! In fact, all 32 of the hotel's rooms are suites. The Strand Yangon When the hotel was built, Rangoon (now Yangon) was not a popular destination for foreign tourists, and it seemed like there was no need for a first-class hotel. However, the Sarkies brothers believed that such a need would soon arise, and so they decided to take on the challenge of running a hotel in Rangoon. Perhaps they were too premature in their predictions, as the hotel they opened in 1892 was unsuccessful. However, The Strand Yangon, which opened in 1901, began to take off as a cutting-edge hotel. The four Sarkis brothers, Armenians from Isfahan, Persia, founded three hotels: the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, the E&O Hotel in Penang, Malaysia, and The Strand Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma)."

Hotel G Yangon ★★★★
"The room was incredibly small, barely enough space to turn around. My request to cancel the reservation was rudely denied by the front desk. After some negotiation, I decided to upgrade my room, but the upgrade fee alone was actually higher than the original room rate I paid when booking. Outside the room, it was either the constant noise of traffic from the main road or the continuous hum of the air conditioning unit, which was truly awful. No bottled water was provided in the room; I had to repeatedly go to the elevator area to get water myself, and the water dispenser was often empty! There was nowhere to smoke inside the hotel, so I had to keep going outside. All in all, this was the absolute worst stay of my entire trip!"

Sedona Hotel Yangon ★★★★★
"The main issues with this hotel are the service and the facilities. 1. Facilities: The room amenities are very outdated, and the rooms themselves are quite small, making them uncomfortable to stay in. 2. Service: The service was particularly poor. Specifically, when I was getting into a taxi, the front desk staff did not help me put my luggage into the trunk."
