I passed by Yichang in the snowy rain and stayed at Taohualing Hotel. It was late at night when I arrived at the hotel. I was really anxious because my car was about to run out of battery. fabulous large room with a great view, very comfortable bed and pillows and exquisite bedding.  location. Excellent with local shops and restaurants and tube station three minutes walk away. wi-Fi was fast and consistent in the room, which I have found a problem at other Chinese hotels I am a solo traveller and the staff went out of their way to take care of me . They organised a superb driver for me to do some private tourist activities ( the waterfalls were out of this world and not so crowded, which I really appreciated). The bathroom is particularly nice with a really big shower and a bath tub plus lovely fluffy towels.  breakfasts were really good with a wide selection of healthy and also more typical offerings and unusual for China.
