We booked a Japanese Superior Room for one adult, one teenage and a child. The room is way too small. There isn’t a place to put our luggages. The luggage rack adjust beside the door is not usable because if you put even a cabin luggage on the rack, you won’t be able to open the door. There is also no extra room to move around in the hotel room. Other than the room size, all other things are fine. Service is good and breakfast is very good too! The location is very convenient as it is just a 10-15 mins walk from the train station. There are convenient stall just a few mins away and there are many options for restaurant and street food nearby.

We stayed one Saturday night in early Dec. It was super crowded in the area and all parking slots were taken (a very small parking lot) so we had to park at a paid lot across the street after waiting for a slot to become available there. Slow elevator. The room is clean with private hot spring bath. Excellent location with many shops, restaurants, and public hot spring places (ever heard of hot spring fish?) No free breakfast but plenty of options nearby.

The bathroom and bathtub (hot spring pool) are very large, the space in the room is comfortable and just right, and the parking lot is nearby, which is quite convenient.
The small drawback may be that the bathroom is very big and there is inevitably a bit of a damp smell, but there is a dehumidifier in the room. I will stay here again next time ~

It’s a great experience. My family all likes to take a bath in the room. The temperature of the room, the quilts and the sofa are very comfortable, and the spacious and clean breakfast dining area. However, it is a pity that the electric car game room on the second floor is closed at 10 o’clock in the morning after the meal. I wanted to experience it at first, but it was not open, which is a pity!

We really liked this hotel! Especially the bathroom was very enjoyable and relaxing. The room itself was very spacious and nice. However, parking was quite challenging due to the small size of the parking spots and the raised rails. Also, please make sure to contact the accommodation one day in advance for the check in information, contacting them the day of was very inconvenient. But overall, I would definitely recommend this stay!

We rented a motorcycle and found a homestay after arriving in Rodong.
Location: The homestay is a bit difficult to find, and it took a long time to find it by bike. Can't find the name of the homestay signboard. (The signboard has a pink sleeping logo)
Services:
① The boss and the waiter very warmly introduced us to where we can go to play.
② We arrived early and gave us our luggage first, which is great 👍🏼. This way we have more time to play without having to bring luggage. 🌹
③ We booked 2 nights and we have new personal items for 2 nights. 🥰
Facilities: There is no wardrobe and hanger in the room, but there is a self-service fast dry cleaner at the corner of the street. It rained for 3 days we just went there, and there was a place to dry the clothes when they were wet.
There are also supermarkets and places to eat nearby, which is convenient.

GGuest UserA must-stay hotel for hot spring bathing in Jiaoxi. Japanese-style exquisite attention to detail. It seems to have no decoration. Everything is hidden behind various wooden screens. Even the trash cans have to be hidden in cabinets and have to be sorted!
The room is filled with the aroma of wood. The difference between the simple beauty of the hotel and Aman Kyoto is probably only a cypress bathtub, haha. The only pity is that I didn't book a room overlooking the Lanyang Plain. It would be good to book a room on the weekend.
There is no residue in the hand-brewed coffee grinder, and no small details are missed [strong]

GGuest UserJiaoxi Township is full of hot spring hotels. This one is considered good in all aspects. The hotel service is very friendly. After check-in, the front desk will go to the room to introduce the room facilities. There is a private hot spring in the room and the bathing pool is quite large. There are many restaurants next to the hotel, and it is very convenient to eat and buy things.

GGuest UserLooking forward to experiencing the newly opened hotel 7/19, the location is in the downtown area, it is very convenient to eat. Only the swimming pool is open, the SPA and the hot spring are still being renovated. The front desk staff asked a lot of things. In addition to the clean room, the mattress is very comfortable for the Sheraton brand. The breakfast was quite satisfactory and there was no Yilan local characteristics. Check out the next day and found that things were left in the hotel, and I didn't receive the hotel's active notification. Call the counter but no one found it, saying that it would take a long time to reply, and later said that the housekeeping had been found. Is the housekeeping cleaning not true, or is the front desk training insufficient?

BBenjo8Been here a few times . It’s always peaceful and the hot spring does have a hot sulphur smell unlike the other hot springs in Jiaoxi. Normally when we check in before we get offered lots of help and because we’re here with a baby they would ask if we need bathing stuff for babies as well as a bed mini protection gate/ wall which prevents the little one from falling off the bed. However , this time round we had to ask for these stuff ourselves for the first time!
Also, we normally ask for an hour late check out because our toddler usually naps during that time where we would offer to pay for the over time . 3 times they had given us a free extra hour, but this time the woman refused and said I had to pay an extra half day board for an extra hour which is ridiculous. She said it was full, however when I checked availability online they had plenty of room so she was obviously lying.
Shame , I used to like this place , now I would reconsider coming here again as the level of service has dropped and we were becoming regulars at one stage !

-unlimited entry into its hot spring areas up to 1h after checkout (outdoors and indoors). Rmb to bring swim wear and swim hat else you can buy in the hotel (which is comparable if not cheaper than the stalls outside). Entry into springs is based on a sticker that can be redeemed at the concierge. There are lockers at NT10 inside if you want to put your belongings.
-food wise can walk out, turn right of the hotel walk around 10mins (use Google maps), alot of good stalls on the same way to McDonalds. There is even a supermarket on the way.
-Some worthy food mentions:Linjia Guangdong Beef Noodle Restaurant (not a looker, v discreet but we swear the beef noodle soup taste can match big brands and names like the liu shan cough in taipei), 香肠伯（standalone 烧烤摊位), Sinbow scallion expert (order the scallion spiral pizza 葱派，we went back for it 3 times in our 2D1N)

GGuest UserYu Peng Villa was our first and BEST accommodation on this Yilan-Taroko-SML-Alishan road trip. We arrived much later than expected and were relieved that our message to Trip.com got through to the guesthouse. When we drove up to the place (an easy find with GPS), a member of the staff walked up to our car and guided us to the drop off point.
I love the designer vibes of the property which is well maintained with a sizeable garden and plenty of flowers in bloom. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The showers worked and there was hot water. The western-style breakfast was generous in portion and delicious.
Best of all was the hospitality extended to us. It was the only place where we felt truly welcomed on this 8-day trip. The staff here chatted with us, gave advice on places of interest and sent us off with fruit from the orchard. After the great experience here, all the other places we stayed at pale drastically in comparison.
If you're planning to visit the Kavalan Distillery, this place is a great stayover option! Truly a slice of paradise.

AAnonymous UserFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub.
The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working.
There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.”
Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.

Outside, the play pool was a perfect spot to relax and unwind. We enjoyed splashing around and lounging in the sun. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, making it an ideal place to kick back after a day of exploring.
One of the best parts of our stay was the delicious ********* food served at the B&B. Each meal was bursting with flavor, showcasing authentic dishes that satisfied our cravings. I highly recommend trying their rice rolls and congee —they were simply delightful!
Overall, this bed and breakfast offers a wonderful blend of fun activities and fantastic food. Whether you're visiting with family or looking for a unique getaway, I can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be back for more sliding and savoring!
