I had a lovely lunch out with my family. Great portion sizes, you definitely get your money's worth. Staff were lovely and really helpful, and there is a lovely atmosphere in the pub. We will definitely be going back there some time soon. Amazing!

First time coming to the Nags Head on a visit to York to see friends. Found the pub easily, and managed to park the car in rear carpark. Booked a single room for one night, small but adequate, fairly clean but could be better. I was woken up at 1am by other guests getting in from a night out and the walls are so thin, I can hear conversations and all doors opening and being closed. The bed is really soft and wasn't able to get much sleep on it. Room additional I'd see possible is a bin, as there isn't any where to put tea and coffee rubbish. The pub downstairs itself is friendly and a pleasant place for a drink.

Had a 3 night stay at the Nag's Head over a bank holiday weekend. Accommodation is basic, but perfectly adequate, and the staff friendly and helpful. Big 2 drawbacks were that the pub is 1 mile distant from York centre, and does not offer breakfast. As it was a bank holiday weekend, this reduced local options, so necessitated a fair walk into town each morning to get breakfast.
