Skipbridge Farm Cottages

Absolutely disgusting, old fashioned living room with horse racing memorabilia everywhere, very old fashioned. Was like a freezer. Heating was luke warm, log burner wasn't cleaned out and damp logs which caused coughing and pain on chest. Slept fully clothed including hat and gloves, bathroom filthy, broken handle on fridge., big gap in door, filthy rug, scummy toiletries that look like they've been there for years. nobody to greet you, would NEVER EVER visit again.

Great stay. Comfortable, clean, cosy, everything you need & dog friendly. Kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment you need. Loved the games available to enjoy. The hot tub was a great addition. Really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommend.

We stayed in Cottage 4 last year when attending a wedding. It’s advertised as a two bed cottage - which is ok if you’re four very very small people! One bedroom had a small sized double bed - not large enough for two average sized people - the other a normal size but it’s bed positioning meant one of you had to climb over the other to get in and out of it. You couldn’t even slide out of the bottom as that exit was blocked by a chest of drawers. Barely room for two people to stand in the room at the same time thanks to the large furniture. No mirror in this room either. I appreciate we were on a farm but that is no excuse for the amount of cobwebs we found. The shower was very unreliable - temperature wasn’t consistent. Overall a not very satisfactory stay.

we booked one of the cottages for a wedding when we arrived we got straight in but it did not look asthough the cottage had been cleaned sure they are the old stables but cobwebs were all over there was a layer of dust on the top of the log burnerand the central heating was innafective the rooms never got warm ,and the worst thing was that there was someones food in the freezer we will not be going bck there again

A surprise birthday treat, I could not have wished for anything better! With three other adults, we all agreed that we can’t wait to stay at the Granary, Skipbridge Farm again. Super clean with comfy, cosy accommodation and high standards everywhere. Huge hot-tub, garden, log burner, farm animals…fabulous! Great quiet location (can’t believe it’s on a busy road!) and perfect location for visiting York, Harrogate etc. Thoroughly recommend.

A perfect quick getaway, I can't recommend this place enough :-) A family-run venue with quirks at every turn. The cottages are beautiful and full of character, and the grounds are definitely worth exploring. We hired the cottage just so we could sit in a hot tub all night and it certainly didn't disappoint!
