I'm going to start this with a character reference to the wonderful Durgla, who is front of house here. When we pulled up outside i saw someone who i guessed was probably an ex Gurkha, i love Gurkha's... From arriving, organising the limited Parking here was done with precision, as you would expect... This little Gem is on a busy road with the big City wall across the road, so very convenient to The Shambles etc.. Our welcome was warm, Breakfast order taken, a very interesting chat about Durgla's life, wow! On, entering the room, the first thing to hit me was warmth, a very rare thing to walk into a pre warmed room. Bathroom 'tho small had everything, heated Towel rail worked, lovely toiletries and Towels. In the room the tray had loads of Milk, Teabags & Coffee, Biscuits, no skimping there...the Bed was comfortable, nice lighting, giving the room a warm glow (Room 1). On entering the house in the afternoon the small Breakfast room was laid, looked, and was lovely, 5 star quality, to match the 5 star Breakfast...and by then Durgla knew everyone's name and addressed you by your name.. We will definitely be back on our next Jamie Cullum Concert, this house is so close to the Barbican Theatre.. It was an honour and a privilege to meet this Man, he is also very keen on all things Motor Racing, which is our line also....
