Probably the best hotel in the area of the old town. Near to food areas. In the night, this stretch of street is lighted as compared to the lower parts of gongtan. However to walk down towards the river is abit of a distance.

The hotel is located right above the Gongtan ancient town and very conevenient to visit the beautiful town with delicous food and have 1 hour gallery cruise trip in the emerald river surrounded by painting like rock wall mountains and trees. The hotel was renovated lately, thus facilities are new, and we loved the interior of our room and the view through the window. The hotel service was excellent, as manager took us and picked up to the cruise trip or the town upon the request.

I am a foreigner, I don’t speak Chinese. I have traveled to Gongtan by bus from Chongqing north station. The hotel is a little bit far from the ancient town, it is about 1 km. I am however very satisfied with this booking. The quality of the room is excellent. The mattress is soft, the room has air conditioning, the bathroom is at new standard with a great view on the valley. The boss of the hotel was extremely nice and helpful with us. We took his wechat and we could then easily talk to each other. He transported us from the hotel to the entrance of the ancient town several times (on demand return trip). He did it for free, by using the van of the hotel that can accommodate a group of 6 people. He has also booked a boat trip on the river for us. The breakfast was local, it means noodles. Coffee is extra. We had a great evening at the hotel, we drank local beers and had fun at the KTV located inside the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and strongly recommends it.

Zuiyuelou is definitely the best and most comfortable homestay in Gongtan Ancient Town. It is clean, comfortable and the children have fun. The boss prepared fruits for us every day and picked us up to go to the ancient town at any time. The Chongqing noodles in the breakfast are delicious! During the stay, there was a small accident. I asked the boss for help. He immediately took us to the local hospital, accompanied us throughout the whole process, and paid for our medical expenses. Thank you so much. Next time I come to Gongtan, I will choose Zuiyuelou again!

The room has a nice view, you can see the Wujiang River around the mountain. The boss is very welcoming. We were picked up and dropped off by car when we went to the scenic spot.
