Majestic Hotel & Spa

I stayed here with my partner and friends and the only decent thing about this place was the rooms and its location . We booked all inclusive and couldn’t eat any of the food on offer. It was either cold, raw, unappetizing, or had a swarm of flies hovering above. The “all inclusive” bar only had 3 spirits and sodas on offer, alongside premade cocktails that were heavily diluted and never seemed to be fresh. The bar man was rude and would either ignore you, be watching something on his phone or playing slots. He couldn’t even pour a beer properly (see picture). They had a one drink per person at a time policy which we felt was ridiculous as we were paying for all inclusive. We ended up having to eat out every day or buy drinks from the shop - not what you’d expect to be doing for an all inclusive stay. Was a complete waste of money and can’t recommend this place to anyone. Our rooms were fine but the maid would often let herself in even after having the DND light on. Just a heads up - there’s a charges list for if there’s any stains on towels/pillow cases etc (including makeup), most of which the prices are way too high. Location-wise, it’s right on the ***** so no need to do much walking. The rooms are decently soundproof so you won’t hear any music or noise from outside. Not family friendly though. There were a couple instances where my partner and I observed other hotel guests having s*x in one of the pools. We also never seen the pools being cleaned or maintained.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars then I would. Me and my 2 friends were placed here for 1 night due to our flight being cancelled. And it was a night of pure hell. Everything here is dirty and looks unkept, the pool may aswell be a pond. When we walked into the room we were hit in the face with the most disgusting ,dirty and pungent smell and this smell did not leave our room at all for the night. There were blood splatters up the walls and curtains ,faeces on the shower floor , hair all over the floor and on every flat surface in there , there were big stains and bugs on all of the mattresses. Our balcony was right above the kitchen and the smell of the food cooked can only be described as diarrhoea , so we had no way to escape bad smells in this stay. We went out to eat and drink as the hygiene of this hotel completely lacked so there was no way we were going to risk eating here. But a basic search through social media at the foot this hotel thinks is acceptable to serve told us we made the right choice. We ended up buying disinfectant and we cleaned the entire room. We showered in our crocs , the water also got spat back up the drain and stunk of eggs. In the evening we went downstairs to play cards to get out of the hotel room and away from bad smells. We were greeted with completely rude bar staff and security which made us really uncomfortable and they even shut the bar and turned all of the lights off in the bar and on the patio leaving everyone in pitch black without giving any warning or saying they were closing which everyone out there found very rude. The staff members then sat on the sofas inside watching sports. The one man was asked why he was rude and miserable and his response was , we hate the British they are scum and trouble . Which is very uncomfortable having no choice to stay somewhere where staff are saying they hate us. When going back upstairs staff were outside ranting about all of the people on the delayed flight and calling us stupid British. We went through reviews of the place which only made us feel worse as we read through the violence from security guards to people staying here and reports of them barging into rooms beating and stealing from people which absolutely petrified us as 3 young people travelling and we ended up barricading our door with our suitcases out of fear something like this would happen to us. We slept the night here and we woke up with bites all over us from the beds. I have never been more glad to leave a place in my life . To anyone looking at booking this place by choice , please don’t, there are far better hotels around this area and until this experience we had a fantastic holiday , so do your research and keep yourself safe from hotels run like a prison.

I am returning in june , last year we as lads holiday had the best time ever. We enjoyed the three swimming pools , the drinks , the clubs nearby at walking distance and of course the tattoo shop in the hotel. Been to ayia napa before but this is my go to now

Hotel was fine, staff quite nice. Room was ok, our bathroom flooded after showering but was fixed. The pillows were also awful! Buffet was awful, NOT “all inclusive” and not definitely not allergen safe. Felt ill after every meal. Drinks were just YUCK! And bar timings were awful, shuts at 11pm etc. I (stupidly) got a tattoo by NANCY in the hotel, got simple stars on my wrist and it’s so wonky! - the lines aren’t connected. Will be getting a cover up asap! I payed for a second tattoo upfront, and she drew me a design which looked NOTHING like the design i showed her. After my first tattoo i politely told her i no longer wanted the second, she said she’d give me my money back - but she only gave me a partial refund as apparently it costs €20 to draw a little beetle that looked nothing like what i had asked for. Definitely a scammer and very rude!

Room was nice size but curtains did not cover window , luckily room had rollerblind on outside . Bathroom dated and shabby . Broken bedside table . Big notice on door with fines for damage . Towels rough and old . No pool towels to hire . When we arrived we reported bedding was stained and stain on bathroom door which was promptly sorted . They have promised a room change. We shall see . Reception staff efficient and polite . All other staff are rude . Don’t look at you never mind smile . 1 drink at bar at a time even for couples . Bar closed earlier than advertised . No rum / Bacardi . Meals have 2-3 hours windows . Snacks have 2 short windows of availability during the day .1 item at a time . Bar staff are frankly rude . Catering staff look miserable . Food ok but nothing to special - same food every day . Casual clothes - don’t look as if anyone in charge . No interaction with guests . Hotel is nice size but dated in places . Broken or no locks on ladies toilets . Pool has green algae in some places but did see staff putting powder treatment into it at night . Not geared up for children . No entertainment . Shame as could be a great place if managed properly and staff looked happy .
