Maui

Definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. When we arrived we were given the wrong room and one person had to sleep on a camp bed. We were told this was tui’s fault. In the room we had dirty towels and bed sheets and the water was cold. After complaining multiple times at reception and to Tui. We were moved rooms the next day. The new room still wasn’t clean. We had no main working light which we reported and was left without for three days, we had issues with the aircon not turning off. We had blood splatters on the door. Multiple people we spoke with in the hotel had issues with the security guard, making people feel unsafe and dealing with issues in an unreasonable way. Different people got treated in different ways which was unfair. It is a party hotel but you get punished for doing so. Luckily we didn’t want to use it as self catering because it would have been had with no equipment. No food was served in the hotel until 12. Wouldn’t tell anyone to book this hotel.

All I can say is that if you want to have the worst holiday and becoming extremely ill Maui is the place for you. Where do I begin, firstly we paid for a room for 4 adults which only three of us were given beds (which were horrendous) and the other so called bed was a camp bed. The mattresses were disgusting with stains and bobbly bits all over to the extent I had to put my towels on the bed in order to sleep. Never mind it felt like laying on a cardboard box! The bed sheets were not changed once as well towels not being replaced. Secondly, the whole room was rusty and covered in mould, the shower was not hot at all we had to have freezing cold showers, with a hand held shower. The whole room was just shocking and to make things worse, after night 3 of the stay at Maui we all developed a horrendous cough due to the air con having mould in, this actually stopped myself and the girls going out for the rest of the holiday as we were so ill and could barely breathe, this completely ruined the holiday and we are still ill now after a week of being home! We also had people banging and screaming threatening to kick our door down at about 4am one night which was very scary to us girls, there was no security to be seen at this point. Reverting back to my original point, I honestly believe a prison cell would've been better.

Defo not worth one star. This must be the worst hotel I have stayed in. We were told it was 18 to 30s but what we got was just horrendous. Self catering but nothing in the room on arrival, had to request cups and a kettle. Were told that's because it's 18 to 30s and they don't use them. You couldn't self cater in it. Plus it was too scruffy to want to. Cupboard was broken which we reported ASAP as they have a super expensive breakage list pinned to the door. Towels stained as was the bedding. Room wasn't cleaned the whole stay we had to ask. I mean this is basic hygiene when you in a country where you can't put toilet paper down the loo and its 30 degrees. There definalty is not two pools surounded by loungers there is one with a small amount of loungers not enough for all quests I imagine. The other is a very small "whirlpools" or something which is tiny, it's sooo dirty you can't see the bottom and there was a rat drinking from it one day. Which we took a pic of. Also mentioned by another reviewer. We complained to the staff and rep. Neither of which gave a dam. The rep was rude and told us we got what we paid for. Which was actually falsely advertised, unclean and we didn't even want to spend time there. We were told to be moved we had to foot the bill. I was unwell with in three days which was probably due to the unhygienic conditions. Thank fully you can pool hop in Greece otherwise the holiday would have been a bigger disaster. If you enjoy this hotel you must be walking around with your eyes shut or have extremely low standards.

The Maui hotel, where do I start went on a lads holiday and let’s just say part of our souls will be left in that hotel forever. On arrival we got roped into buying an event package from the hotel rep where we paid 175 euros for 4 events all of which you could have gone to without booking. When we entered the room, everything was falling apart floors, work surfaces, shower, beds and curtain pole. Mould was growing in the sink and the bed sheets and towels were all stained with all sorts (probably poo and blood). In our weeks stay our room was cleaned once and on this occasion we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Within the hotel there are hired private security and having sat on the balcony one night the next day we get a knock on the door this huge bloke comes in and starts viciously assaulting one of my mates, stating we had 1 more chance and that one more time and all of us will be put in the back of a van. We were told that 2 rooms had asked for money back because of us when in hindsight it was because of the absolute dump which they were living in. Mirrors were stained and the air con gave me and the lads the worst coughs of our lives to the point we were all coughing up blood. The hotel is advertised as self catering when all you get a kettle and a sink, let’s just hope you like crisps and pot noodles. Drinks in the hotel are massively overpriced and the people running the bar as rather miserable. To top it off as we checked out we were charged an additional 150 euro for a broken bed and dirty towels all of which were already broken before we got there. Overall, this 3 star hotel is one of the worst hotels on this globe and there is no way I will be recommending unless you want to come home as different people with no sleep due to the beds being like cardboard. A week of hell and filth for me and my mates especially due to the shower only being scolding or freezing as well as it being hand held with no shower curtain. This creates a huge flood on the bathroom floor.

Great times in a cheap hotel, none of the issues I saw on other reviews. Staff all very welcoming, cleaners were new this year and friendly. Didn't get charged for safe or air conditioning which was very nice in Greece. Bathroom is a wet room. Move the toilet paper before having your shower as no curtain. Everything else will dry. Mattress/bed was fine. Can't comment on the food as wasn't set up this early in the season

Great hotel with amazing people. The two owner brothers make everything fun and they are there to help with anything needed. It is a place with good atmosphere, located near everything. The place is just like the pictures! Definitely recommend for solo trip, friends or couple.
