Zhaoqing Duanzhou District Hotels

An average hotel with great service.  The employees were very friendly but the facilities are lacking. I booked a guestroom because it featured a ceiling window. However, the one feature I was looking forward to was disappointing because the exterior had not been cleaned and was dirty. It was slightly disgusting to even look at. You could also see the wear and tear on the window frame as paint was coming off and even rusted in certain spots. The other aspects of the room however were acceptable and clean.  In terms of view, even though I had a lake-view, there wasn’t much to see. But this is simply due to the location of the hotel, and is an inherent weakness.  I think this hotel is making an effort to become a great hotel and it is getting there. It just needs to focus on some of the small details.

Very nice hotel with great location, easy to access the lake. Hotel is very new and staff are very friendly. Great room layout with charging cables provided. Rest area provided next to the reception. Lots of eating place nearby. Highly recommended and definately will come back again.

We arrived before the check-in time (11am) thinking to store our luggage at the reception, but the receptionist told us the rooms were ready and was kind enough to check us in early, which was a pleasant surprise :D The rooms were nice and clean, no smell of smoke, stable WiFi connection. The rainfall shower head was a bit leaky, but the regular one works fine. It was a little tricky to get the water to the right temperature, but with some trial and error it's not a big problem. The hotel is located conveniently near the Seven Star Crags (just a tunnel away from the Paifang square), and there are many shops within walking distance. Recommended for travellers visiting Zhaoqing!

The hotel provides plenty of amenities free of charge which is very thoughtful and useful for guests. Free laundry facilities, free coffee and tea plus some fizzy drinks, there are also plasters, tooth pick, sanitiser, wipes etc provided free at the lobby area. Will worth staying here

My wife and I recently stayed at Wyndham Grand on 5/7-5/9 and would like to share our experiences and moments. We stayed at the Superior Lake View room and found the room very spacious and comfortable. The view from the balcony really worth the price. Swimming pool is magnificent. Also, we want to commend the front desk team, especially Miss Cara Yu for their outstanding service. From check-in to checkout, 小余 demonstrated remarkable professionalism and genuine warmth. She proactively provided personalized dining recommendations, sight seeing points marked on the map for us and reminded us about the weather change which was very heartfelt. Our first night in China after a long journey from OZ. Arrived late in the evening and was warmly greeted by the friendly front desk staff who coped well with an English speaker. Room was excellent, comfortable beds, spacious, with a large and beautiful bathroom. We enjoyed a delicious yumcha lunch in the revolving restaurant. It is located in the central area of Zhaoqing and it was an easy walk to the lake. Highly recommended

Parking is in the underground garage, next to the shopping plaza, it is very convenient for eating and shopping, the hotel is super large, it took me a long time to find the room number, the room is quiet, clean and hygienic, and it is very comfortable to stay. The girl at the front desk is very considerate. I asked the waiter to send an extra set of toothbrushes and slippers in advance when there were three of us checking in. The service attitude is very good. I will choose it again next time I go to Zhaoqing.

The environment is very good, close to the scenic spot, the surrounding night view is very beautiful, and the transportation is convenient! The front desk service is very considerate. Although the breakfast is not much, it is exquisite. I stayed alone and asked for a breakfast coupon. The front desk was very considerate to exchange it for a free coffee coupon! The indoor facilities are very unique, the bed is very comfortable, and the shower is also powerful. The water rushes on the body, which is very comfortable! Worth recommending! I will stay here next time!

The room is spacious and the bedding is clean. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the environment is relatively quiet. It is very convenient to have breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. It is not far from Xijiang River, so you can go for a stroll at night. Qixingyan Scenic Area is a must-see in Zhaoqing.
