Zhenjiang Hotels with Gym

All good except the room service, which I was forced to use, as I had to work late from my room. Ordering was not at all simple (having not spotted the QR code notice on the fridge work top. But response was swift, so too was delivery of the order. However, the ”Ceasar Salad” was sorrowful! Lettuce leaves awash in some sort of watery white fluid, with no discernable taste, some croutons and a few pieces of dried bacon. Especially disappointing given how lovely the fruit and vegetables are most of the time in China. Main course ”Lemon and Herb Chicken” should have been listed as ”Lemon and Herb Skin and Bones”!!! There was virtually NO actual chicken meat. Roated tomatoes and asparagus were lovely, Dessert was uninspiring, but compared to the salad and main course for sure the best course. The Wine? Completely undrinkable. Opened, poured a small amount to taste, spoilt. It happens, sadly! Would be a good idea to open the wine to test before serving

It's very new and has a sense of design, giving it a very high-end feel. It has a gym, laundry room, and restaurant. The sanitation is very clean. The ladies at the front desk are very nice. If you need help with anything, they will respond immediately. The robot is also very cute! Xiao Pan at the front desk also gave me a souvenir. The service is good!! The floor I live on is also relatively high and quiet.

Last time I went there, I booked three standard rooms at once. It's no exaggeration to say that those who travel to Zhenjiang recently can go there without a second thought. The location cannot be said to be completely in the city center, but Zhenjiang is too small, so it is super convenient to take a taxi, and most importantly, the hotel is very new! All facilities are in place. It's so happy to live here. The service attitude is also good. I'm too lazy to run around in the hot summer. There is a restaurant in the hotel lobby. The food is delicious and not expensive. It's no problem to travel with family. I was worried that it was Atour X. It's better than many Atour stores! I took my parents to Zhenjiang for a weekend trip and stayed at Shuxiang Mansion Hotel. This hotel is located in Xijindu, a historical ancient street in Zhenjiang, and is very close to the famous ”Three Mountains” (Jinshan, Jiaoshan, and Beigushan), making it very convenient for travel. The guest rooms of Shuxiang Mansion Hotel are distributed in Bao's Money House and Yuntai Tower built during the Republic of China period. Mr. Sun Yat-sen once stayed and gave a speech here, with a rich historical and cultural heritage. The guest room facilities are high-end and exquisite, with an antique style, which is exactly what my parents want. The four of us lived in the two-bedroom and one-living room on the ground floor of Bao's Money House. There was a patio at the entrance, which was ventilated and easy to light. The layout of the hall is like a study, with all the four treasures of the study. Dad put down his luggage and spread out the paper and wrote quickly. The hotel front desk was very considerate and said that Hanfu could be borrowed for free. Mom was very happy and immediately borrowed a set of Hanfu to take pictures in the elegant environment. The breakfast is a set meal for each person (one bowl of pot-lid noodles + one crab meat steamed bun, one fresh meat steamed bun, one vegetable bun, one marinated egg and braised meat, the noodles and steamed buns are freshly cooked) + semi-self-service, with fruits, salads, bread, coffee, pickles, and millet porridge. The hotel rooms are not only well-equipped, but also warm-hearted, which can be reflected in the details. When guests check in, the service staff will carry their luggage to the room for them, and explain in detail how to use the facilities. The room has already been filled with welcome fruits. In addition, freshly cooked Tremella soup will be delivered in the evening, making people feel at home.

Zhenjiang is my father's hometown. I once passed by on a business trip in the late 1990s. I remember that time I only visited Jinshan Temple. So this time I came to Zhenjiang after retirement. I read the Zhenjiang travel guide on Xiaohongshu, which recommended staying in hotels in the Xijindu area. So I searched on Ctrip and found that there were many hotels with good locations in Xijindu, and it was almost difficult to choose. After comprehensive consideration, I chose Shuxiang Xinbo Hotel. Among the hotels with a rating of 4.5 or above, I prefer the design style of the hotel, which is a combination of traditional and new designs. I was just worried that there would be no parking spaces for self-driving tours (the reviews said that there were few parking spaces at the door), so I contacted the hotel in advance to confirm the parking spaces. They said that there were still parking spaces at the door, and the hotel had another parking lot nearby, so there was no need to worry. Fortunately, we were able to park at the door for the two nights we stayed. Probably because of the off-season, I booked a double bed room, and the hotel upgraded it to a suite for free, with an elevator (the hotel was renovated from an old house in the Republic of China, and the building is about 4 or 5 floors high). The suite has a living room + cloakroom + standard king-size bed room. The space is relatively large and clean. The 2-meter-wide bed has good bedding, soft and comfortable, very nice. In addition to the standard toiletries, the bathroom is also equipped with a bathtub film. This is the only one we have seen in the multiple hotels we have stayed in since we drove all the way from Guangzhou. For this reason, this is also the only time we dare to take a bath in the bathtub in the hotel to relieve fatigue. The plastic slippers in the room need to be called to the front desk (this is the experience gained from this self-driving tour). The little robot will send the slippers up and will notify by phone. It is silent when walking and does not disturb people. It is very cute. Looking at the comments, there are criticisms about the electric control switch in the room. Sure enough, the design of the electric control switch is too alternative and niche, and the operation is not intuitive. You can only grope for the buttons. It feels that it is not suitable for hotel use, especially for the elderly. However, the switch is a small flaw and has little impact. Overall, the hotel experience is still very good and cost-effective.

I slept until 10am and thought I missed the hotel breakfast, so I called the front desk. I didn't expect that breakfast could be delivered to the room at 10:30! So thoughtful! The preparation was very attentive, please see the photo~ It was a really big bowl of noodles! Super rich! Better than eating out! The auntie who delivered the food was super nice, smiling and cute! I forgot to ask her name and couldn't specifically praise her, which was a pity. The facilities were generally satisfactory, but there were some shortcomings. The front desk service was good 👍 The mattress was very soft, the waiter helped to change one side and took off the down mat. Breakfast was good, there was meat this morning; there were few customers in the off-season. Lunch and dinner were eaten in the restaurant on the first floor.

When I walked into the room, I was even more impressed. The room is large, warm and elegant, and the decoration style is simple but not out of style. The bed is moderately soft and hard, the quilt and pillow are clean and soft, and it is very comfortable to sleep. You can feel the hotel's attention to detail. The hygiene of the room is also impeccable, the furniture is neatly arranged, the bathroom has no odor, and the quality of toiletries is also very good. The hair dryer and toilet are much better than another five-star hotel in the city center. The river view room has a great view, and the breakfast is also rich. The small wontons, old duck vermicelli soup, scallion pancakes, etc. are delicious. In addition, the location of the hotel is also very convenient, with an independent parking lot, very close to Sanshan Yidu, and it is also very pleasant to go downstairs and walk along the river.
