This hotel is a bit old, the room is small and the decoration is a bit old. The facilities are relatively complete, Zhenjiang City is not big, not far from the hotel to other places. There is no separate shower in the bathroom, and guests with elderly should pay special attention. Breakfast, a more regular Chinese breakfast, eggs only have boiled eggs. There is a hemp cake that is particularly popular and tastes good. The supplement is faster and can be full. Parking, there is a small yard that can park about 20 cars, and there is a security guard to direct. Overall it's okay.

國慶家庭出遊臨時定的酒店，價格還好沒比平時漲太多，到店還升級了套房，規格在鎮江應該還算中上的酒店了，設施有些年頭了但房間挺大，套房床很大但是床墊太軟了睡得有點累，最值得一提的是早餐的牛肉鍋蓋麪超級好吃，是我在鎮江吃過的四次鍋蓋麪裏最好吃的，直接其他的都沒吃，吃了兩碗麪，電梯有點慢。

Zhenjiang is my father's hometown. I once passed by on a business trip in the late 1990s. I remember that time I only visited Jinshan Temple. So this time I came to Zhenjiang after retirement. I read the Zhenjiang travel guide on Xiaohongshu, which recommended staying in hotels in the Xijindu area. So I searched on Ctrip and found that there were many hotels with good locations in Xijindu, and it was almost difficult to choose. After comprehensive consideration, I chose Shuxiang Xinbo Hotel. Among the hotels with a rating of 4.5 or above, I prefer the design style of the hotel, which is a combination of traditional and new designs. I was just worried that there would be no parking spaces for self-driving tours (the reviews said that there were few parking spaces at the door), so I contacted the hotel in advance to confirm the parking spaces. They said that there were still parking spaces at the door, and the hotel had another parking lot nearby, so there was no need to worry. Fortunately, we were able to park at the door for the two nights we stayed. Probably because of the off-season, I booked a double bed room, and the hotel upgraded it to a suite for free, with an elevator (the hotel was renovated from an old house in the Republic of China, and the building is about 4 or 5 floors high). The suite has a living room + cloakroom + standard king-size bed room. The space is relatively large and clean. The 2-meter-wide bed has good bedding, soft and comfortable, very nice. In addition to the standard toiletries, the bathroom is also equipped with a bathtub film. This is the only one we have seen in the multiple hotels we have stayed in since we drove all the way from Guangzhou. For this reason, this is also the only time we dare to take a bath in the bathtub in the hotel to relieve fatigue. The plastic slippers in the room need to be called to the front desk (this is the experience gained from this self-driving tour). The little robot will send the slippers up and will notify by phone. It is silent when walking and does not disturb people. It is very cute. Looking at the comments, there are criticisms about the electric control switch in the room. Sure enough, the design of the electric control switch is too alternative and niche, and the operation is not intuitive. You can only grope for the buttons. It feels that it is not suitable for hotel use, especially for the elderly. However, the switch is a small flaw and has little impact. Overall, the hotel experience is still very good and cost-effective.

The hotel service is very good. Before checking in, the hotel housekeeper (here I would like to praise Xiao Lu, Lu Chenye) sent us travel tips and food recommendations, so we didn't have to think about how to play or where to eat. After checking in, there were also service staff to guide us to the room and help with luggage, etc., which was really considerate. The environment in the room is even better, spacious and comfortable, and it also has a small balcony where you can see the scenery inside the hotel. The Chinese restaurant on the second floor of the main building is also very good, the dishes are light and delicious, and the portions are large! The whole stay experience is very comfortable, great!

This is our first time to Zhenjiang. This hotel is within 10 minutes taxi ride from Zhenjiang railway station. On 27 Dec 2023, we arrived late at night and all the shops nearby the hotel have already closed. So, no dinner. The reception staff, Fang Rong and 张师傅, took good care of us by offering snacks and carried our luggage into the room. The hotel’s location and environment are fantastic! It is located at Xijindu ancient street where you can stroll along the ancient street. The museum and old British consulate are within walking distance from the hotel, through the ancient street, past a 观音 cave. Another tourist spot, Jinshan 金山 is also within 20 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel’s breakfast is delicious and good value for money. The hotel’s room is very clean, very comfortable and very nice. The hotel’s staff Steven is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Upon check out, we got a small trinket as souvenir. I had a pleasant stay and will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you all for the outstanding service and warm hospitality during our stay.

I slept until 10am and thought I missed the hotel breakfast, so I called the front desk. I didn't expect that breakfast could be delivered to the room at 10:30! So thoughtful! The preparation was very attentive, please see the photo~ It was a really big bowl of noodles! Super rich! Better than eating out! The auntie who delivered the food was super nice, smiling and cute! It feels more suitable for self-driving living, and the surrounding environment is good. The room was upgraded for free, with large floor-to-ceiling windows and a wide view. When I checked in, I casually asked if I would check out before 12 o'clock the next day. The reply was yes. If there is a demand, it can be extended to 2 pm for free. Later, I received a notice from Trip.com that it had been extended to 2 o'clock to check out. Although there was no actual demand, I left early, and I still liked it. There are many fun places in Zhenjiang, and I was fortunate to see the sunset in Jinshan.

The location is easy to find, free parking is available when driving here, and all nearby attractions are within 10-25 kilometers. The hotel feels newly renovated, but the hygiene of the hotel sheets is a little unsatisfactory, but they were replaced in time. The breakfast includes boiled eggs, fried eggs, bread slices, millet porridge, stir-fried vegetables, cold dishes, tofu pudding, fried noodles and fried rice, etc. There are coffee, soy milk, and simple desserts. The overall taste of breakfast is average, and there is a lot of room for improvement.

My children took the high school entrance examination these days, and we booked a deluxe standard room for 3 days. It is about an eight-minute drive from the test center. It is very convenient to eat and buy things around the hotel, and there is a Suguo supermarket community store next to it. After the first day of check-in, the sound of the square dance downstairs was a bit noisy. After explaining the situation to the hotel front desk, the front desk manager was very enthusiastic to help us upgrade to the executive suite that is not facing the street! Really touched ♥ The breakfast is also very rich, and the little friend is very satisfied 🌷 The uncle in the hall also wished my little friend a successful exam! The service is really attentive! I will stay again next time I have the opportunity!

The location is far from the city, and the room is clean and tidy. The downside is that there is no socket at the bedside, which is very inconvenient for people who are not leaving their hands. The ceiling above the bathroom sink is slightly leaking. Without looking for a power outage at night, the hotel gave a buffet breakfast the next day as compensation. Fortunately, these two days are not cold. If there is no electricity before the festival, the air conditioner cannot be turned on, it is estimated that it is enough.
