As the wind blew fine sand past the tent, I waited for a sunset in the desert camp. The sun gradually set in the west, dyeing the sky honey-colored and edging the outlines of the sand dunes with gold. It turns out that a desolate place can also bloom with such splendid tenderness, settling all the noise into poetry in the heart.

I came here from the south because I have classmates here. I have always longed to go to the northern desert and wanted to experience it during the holidays. I, two friends, and my sister flew from home to Yinchuan, and then took the high-speed rail to Zhongwei. It was already past 8 o'clock in the evening, and our classmates took us to eat their local specialty noodles, called Latiaozi. For us, the noodles were a little spicy, but acceptable. We stayed in the hotel that night and set off for Shapotou Scenic Area the next morning. We played with friends until after four o'clock. Through the introduction of classmates, we experienced the desert tent. It was a different feeling. The weather was good and we saw the stars at night. We had dinner in the camp restaurant. The meal was a little more expensive, but the restaurant was clean and sanitary, the food was delicious, and there was a bonfire party in the evening. The experience was quite strong.
