"The hotel's location right next to Gulou (Drum Tower) is fantastic, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient. The facilities are comprehensive, the environment is clean and tidy, and I was quite satisfied with the self-service breakfast. The parking lot is a bit far, but the security guard drives guests to and from it, which is a nice service touch. However, I have a complaint about the parking fee: when picking up the car, the security guard dropped us off at the parking lot and told us we needed to pay five yuan first, then add the front desk on WeChat to get reimbursed. But when we got back to the hotel, there was no parking spot nearby, and the car behind us was honking, so we didn't have time to go back to the front desk to add them on WeChat. Why didn't the front desk mention adding them on WeChat for reimbursement during check-in or when we asked the security guard to take us to the car? And why didn't the security guard mention it before we left? Usually, parking is free for hotel guests. It's only when you're dropped off at the parking lot that they say: pay first, then get reimbursed. Even if it's a partner parking lot, why doesn't the hotel provide a parking ticket and settle it directly? This five-yuan hassle for self-driving guests shows a lack of service awareness from the hotel. Is the hotel doing this to save money or to make things difficult for self-driving guests? I really don't understand. If this practice doesn't change, self-driving guests won't be returning customers."

The room is clean and comfortable, and you can even stargaze right from your bed. The owner is incredibly warm, attentive, and thoughtful. The whole atmosphere is fantastic, every photo turns out like a masterpiece. My experience was perfect, it's definitely worth making a special trip for, highly recommended!"

"The tent was fantastic, very clean, and I had a really comfortable stay. The owner's service was excellent, and the activities offered were great value. They also had amazing free educational programs, and the teacher made the learning activities so much fun! The bonfire party had a great vibe, complete with a fireworks show and open-air karaoke where you could sing your heart out. Sandboarding in the desert was unlimited. After our hike with the educational program teacher, the owner even brought us watermelon. This trip felt absolutely perfect and incredibly relaxing, and I got a wonderful experience for a very comfortable price. Thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up! I'll definitely be back."

"Shenzhen special soldiers, just arrived at the homestay is quite strange all the way is rural, but the proprietress is so enthusiastic, go out to play and arrange the car back and forth. In the morning, I was afraid that we could not get up for breakfast, and left it for us. When I left, I gave me a bag of fruit. If it was not for the itinerary, I would like to stay for two more days. Said that this March has just opened, clean and comfortable 😊 a good place to take the baby! Slowly feel the Huangsha River ✌️ living on the first floor is the most comfortable. Get up in the morning and open the back door. Watch the sunflower 🌻 Listen to the pastoral wind of birds calling chicken feet."

"As soon as the kids were out for summer break, we quickly booked a desert hotel. It was less crowded, and the experience was great. During the weekdays, dinner is à la carte, but on weekends and during the summer holidays when it's busier, dinner becomes a buffet. The à la carte dining was reasonably priced, with home-style cooking. Bottled water was complimentary and readily available. The hotel staff were all very friendly. When we took the kids to Shapotou, the hotel helped arrange a taxi for convenient pick-up and drop-off. The hotel offered a wide range of family-friendly activities, which the kids really enjoyed."

The hotel is also very close to the desert experience area. You can drive by yourself on camels, desert motorcycles and go-karts. The overall feeling is still very good and highly recommended. There is a bonfire party in the evening, and the experience is great."

"It is very convenient to get there from the city, a taxi costs 60 yuan, and the boss was very enthusiastic to help us make the arrangements and help carry our luggage to the campsite. The desert in the afternoon was really beautiful. Fortunately, we caught up with the newly opened campsite. The service was very good and the owner introduced the food and entertainment in detail! "I travel to Zhongwei for business every week, and this time I booked two nights at this hotel. There was no housekeeping, or if they did clean it, it was practically like it wasn't cleaned at all. The bed wasn't made, and the towels weren't changed. We booked 10 rooms here. After the meeting, I said my flight was at 7:30 pm tonight, and asked for a late check-out until 6 pm, but the front desk refused, saying the latest check-out was 4 pm. I recommend Atour Zhongwei; they are always cooperative with changes to my itinerary and always allow late check-out until 6 pm. Other hotels don't act like this. As you wished, I paid over 150 yuan for half a day's work; I will never come back."
BEIDOU
"Overall, it was decent, I guess, considering it's in the desert and conditions are limited, so you can't expect too much. Stepping out, you're literally in the sand, and any small dune is perfect for sandboarding. The restaurant offered good meals for all three sittings, with options for à la carte or hot pot buffet. While the choices weren't extensive, it was fine for a two-day stay; I felt like I'd get tired of the food if I stayed longer. Also, paid desert activities like dune buggy rides and camel riding were more expensive here than at the nearby Tonghu Grassland scenic area. If you plan on doing paid activities, I'd suggest doing them at the scenic area first, then staying in the desert to enjoy free activities like sandboarding, hiking, and stargazing. I highly recommend stargazing; it's beautiful even with the naked eye. Finally, I booked this hotel mainly for the pool and professional astronomical telescope. The desert gets too hot in the afternoon, so besides swimming, you're pretty much stuck in your room with the AC on. There weren't many activities available here, and they said all the activity materials were out of stock. Well... on our first day, the water was too dirty to swim in. They did change the water on the second day, but it took all day, and by evening, the water still hadn't reached knee-level. Our child went in to splash around for a bit and said it was cold. When I touched it, I realized the water was ice-cold, like mountain spring water. We quickly took him back for a hot shower, fearing he'd catch a cold. Then, during stargazing that night, we found out the astronomical telescope was also broken, so we could only stargaze with our naked eyes... I'd just say it was a less-than-perfect desert trip."

Even though it's in the middle of nowhere, they have electricity, WiFi, and all the toiletries you could need. The place was also spotless. We joined the bonfire party at night, setting off fireworks and dancing – it was an absolute blast! For anyone visiting Zhongwei, staying here is definitely great value for money."

The rooms are huge, with a swimming pool in front and a courtyard in the back – perfect for enjoying a cool breeze on a hot day! A single sandboard kept my child entertained with sand sliding all afternoon. 3. **Shapotou Scenic Area Tickets:** We received complimentary transport to the desert area, where we could either play or take a shuttle bus to the Yellow River area. 4. **Impressive Dining:** The dinner buffet with individual hot pots offered a wide variety of ingredients, leaving us feeling very satisfied. Breakfast was also above average, and there was even a complimentary late-night snack service. 5. **Other Amenities:** In the evenings, there were small concerts and stargazing classes. 6. **Room Facilities:** The rooms were comfortable, well-equipped, and quite spacious. 7. **Service Quality:** The service deserves high praise; they were almost always able to accommodate our requests. Overall, it's definitely worth experiencing if you get the chance. For a more budget-friendly option, traveling during the off-season would likely be even better."
