"I was very satisfied with this stay! From the moment we checked in, someone helped us with our luggage. The front desk staff were very welcoming and even arranged for a buggy to take our extensive luggage to our room. We stayed in a stargazing tent, which, though small, had everything we needed. It came with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. The tent had three layers, effectively keeping out insects and sand, and blocking light. However, the insulation was a bit lacking; it could get hot at midday, which is understandable. The hotel is very close to the scenic area, with a shuttle bus service taking just a few minutes, and complimentary admission tickets are included, so you can start exploring right away. The hotel offers many all-day activities, from crafts to educational science programs, suitable for both adults and children. The desert is right next to the hotel, perfect for watching sunsets and sunrises, and excellent for stargazing away from light pollution. There's even a special stargazing class at night, and the expert explanations were incredibly informative! On clear nights, you can even see the Milky Way! The late-night snacks were great value for money, and breakfast was also excellent. The sound of the wind against the tent at night was not too loud. Although the stargazing tents use keypad locks, the security felt very high. This hotel is highly recommended for families with children!"

"On the edge of the Tengger Desert, you can enjoy the desert scenery without going too deep into the desert. The hotel is in the scenic area. We arrived at about 8 o'clock. When we encountered problems, the front desk and the people on duty could be very patient and enthusiastic. When we thought that the other party had hung up, the staff was still on the phone and responded to our casual questions immediately. Finally, drive us to the tent area. The tent has air conditioning and floor heating. Although the weather is cold, the room is very warm. The breakfast the next morning was very special, in the form of a set meal, but the quantity was sufficient and the quality was good. After breakfast, you can take a lot of beautiful photos in the hotel. Our room can see a beautiful sunrise. If you can get up early, it is also very good to go to the desert to watch the sunrise. There are plenty of parking spaces. The location is very good, out of the hotel gate guard box, turn left, and you can reach the Shapotou Scenic Area within 10 minutes."

Xuli Guesthouse (Zhongwei Shapotou)

Half of the yellow sand and the blue waves sleep together, and the river bay where the stars fall draws an eternal arc here. The winding river stops here and looks back, turning the moonlight shaken by the thousand-year-old camel bells into a glass-colored tranquility. Sit quietly in the folds of time, and listen to the hourglass chanting like a sutra, healing the cracks in this world. Dusk spreads over the ridges, and fireflies mend the sky. The wind-eroded promise turns green again on the grass tips, and when the new moon rises, it reunites in the sparkling waves - that is the unsealed secret language of heaven and earth, the star falling on the fingertips of Buddha.

It's worthy of being called Xipo. The service and the room are so good. Taking advantage of the off-peak season, I came alone to experience the Yellow River Homestay. Each homestay has a different decoration style. I chose Xipo on the recommendation of my friend and was very satisfied. The facilities and services corresponding to this price are really worth it. The price of two nights in the off-season is equivalent to the price of a normal night. The hair dryer is Dyson, and the toiletries are all from the laboratory. There are also beer + drinks in the mini bar, freshly ground coffee, and freshly made bread (forgot to take a picture). The sea salt rolls are super delicious, and the scones are also good, not sweet at all, which suits my taste. The whole homestay is very quiet, close to the Yellow River, and there are trails. If there are many people at night, you can drink, eat barbecue and watch the stars by the Yellow River. The service of private butler Xiaoying is really excellent. She will contact the guests about three days before you check in and help arrange some matters, such as car pick-up, introduction of food, drink and entertainment nearby, food, drink and entertainment in Zhongwei, and travel photography needs. She will also recommend it. After check-in, she will also take meticulous care of the guests. She deserves 100 points. Such a niche place is highly recommended for family and couple travel. If you go to Zhongwei, you must stay at Huanghe Suji to experience the local traditional customs.

The hotel's exterior aesthetic is definitely on point, and the small decor outside each room is perfect for photos. You can easily spend half a day exploring the surrounding farms and the Ming Great Wall. The entire Yellow River Homestay complex also offers a good variety of businesses. However, the interior of the room was quite disappointing. While they claim the dim lighting is for stargazing, I personally don't believe a vanity light would significantly impact the night sky. The dim lighting coupled with the square room shape, to put it nicely, made it feel a bit like a creepy escape room. You couldn't even see your face clearly in the mirror, and I imagine children would be quite scared. The cleanliness was also subpar. The air conditioner panel was covered in a layer of grime, making the numbers illegible. There were two giant millipedes in the bathtub, which no one seemed to care about. They said they crawled up from the drain, but isn't blocking drains standard procedure for hotels now? One of the bedside lamps was broken, the desk lamp switch had fallen onto the floor, and the TV power cord wasn't plugged in. It felt like they expected guests to discover all these issues themselves. They also forgot to send the evening dessert. The explanation was that we checked in too late, past the designated time. However, during check-in, we clearly heard them asking other guests if they wanted evening milk. (Though, I'm lactose intolerant and don't drink milk anyway, and they did compensate by sending coffee promptly the next day). Furthermore, when guests raised issues, the hotel staff always tried to defend themselves first instead of readily admitting to problems. Their customer complaint handling definitely needs improvement.

With the high temperatures in Suzhou and Hangzhou, this is a great escape to the heat in the northwest, featuring a lovely guesthouse village. Nan'an is the largest guesthouse complex in the area, with 40 rooms out of a total of 100. This time, we stayed at Taojiaying West House, with a swimming pool in front and a farm/ranch/ranch in the back – very pleasant. The room details were also very well done, suitable for large families or groups of friends. Both restaurants in the village are good for breakfast: 🌻Xiangke (more variety), 🍜Lao Wang Ji Breakfast & Midnight Canteen. Special praise to Nan'an's management team, including Da Yuan and her group; they communicated with us before our arrival and were very attentive. During our stay, our drone got stuck in a tree in the yard, and the management team helped us find a solution from evening until morning, finally fixing it with a tree trunk over ten meters long. - Climb the Great Wall (five-minute climb to the top) for panoramic views of the Yellow River and the village. - Feeding lambs, riding camels, milking goats. I call it the Yellow River version of ”Wuzhen Village”; the entire village has an integrated design with a Mediterranean feel, perfect for photos.

The hotel has its own parking lot. From the front desk to the room attendants, they are very enthusiastic. They help us carry our luggage and send bottled water... The guest room, bathroom, and sink are very clean and tidy. At night, the dishes are of good quality and the price is very affordable. After dinner, the four of us talked about the hotel and agreed that it was a great hotel. I went to the hall this morning at 7:10 to use early, but let us not understand, 7 o'clock began to early, when we went, each basin leftovers leftovers of soup, staple basin leftovers leftovers, nest head..., drinkable porridge and soy juice a little, enter the hall door 1 person sent a boiled egg (The first time I met boiled eggs at the entrance of the evening hall), several waiters were busy cleaning the table. It turned out that more than 100 group tourists had just started to use the cockroach at 6:30. Ask a waiter to add food? She said no. We don't understand: Trip.com Online booking introduces the breakfast standard of 48 yuan/person. Is the hotel providing such a breakfast? Can it be worth 10 yuan/person? How much is the standard for a group of more than 100 people? After the group is used up, should individual customers eat some leftover soup? If there is no food store around, we will not use it here early? Moreover, the dishes and services ordered last night were very good. Why would the breakfast of 48 yuan/person be like this? The hotel should give an explanation. I don't know which project should be reviewed, so I ordered one in the facilities: very poor.
