Zhongwei Hotels with Parking

This truly is one of Zhongwei's top hotels. The butler contacted me via WeChat a day in advance to confirm my check-in details and sent over a travel guide. Knowing I was traveling with a child, they kindly reserved a room for us ahead of time. Upon arrival, the room facilities were brand new, and the soundproofing was excellent. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm – ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. They even helped install a bed rail for us. The hotel breakfast was also plentiful. Every staff member I encountered, from the waitstaff to the front desk ladies, was incredibly enthusiastic and proactively helped resolve any issues. Finally, they even gave us a souvenir and arranged transportation to the station for us (which wasn't originally part of their service). However, as we had a lot of luggage, we took their pick-up car instead, and the driver was also super friendly. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Zhongwei. Highly recommended! It's worthy of being called Xipo. The service and the room are so good. Taking advantage of the off-peak season, I came alone to experience the Yellow River Homestay. The price of two nights in the off-season is equivalent to the price of a normal night. The hair dryer is Dyson, and the toiletries are all from the laboratory. The sea salt rolls are super delicious, and the scones are also good, not sweet at all, which suits my taste. The whole homestay is very quiet, close to the Yellow River, and there are trails. If there are many people at night, you can drink, eat barbecue and watch the stars by the Yellow River. The service of private butler Xiaoying is really excellent. She will contact the guests about three days before you check in and help arrange some matters, such as car pick-up, introduction of food, drink and entertainment nearby, food, drink and entertainment in Zhongwei, and travel photography needs. She will also recommend it. After check-in, she will also take meticulous care of the guests. She deserves 100 points. Such a niche place is highly recommended for family and couple travel. If you go to Zhongwei, you must stay at Huanghe Suji to experience the local traditional customs.

The campsite environment was much better than I expected—quiet and stylish! During the day, I could see the desert sands, and at night, the starry sky; I felt completely relaxed and free. The tents were clean, tidy, well-designed, draft-proof, warm, and fully equipped.

Everything about this place was a pleasant surprise! The courtyard-style architecture is quiet and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing stay. I could enjoy the beautiful Yellow River scenery right from my room. The cleanliness was excellent, and the room's interior decor was unique and stylish. But the absolute best part was the service. Since the hotel is managed by the Shapotou Scenic Area, I received a discount on the entrance tickets. The room rate also included three meals, and what really surprised me was the high quality of the food. There was no sense of them cutting corners just because it was part of a package; the dishes were plentiful and delicious. And every staff member in the courtyard was outstanding – a huge thank you to them! They genuinely put a lot of effort into making sure everyone loves both the courtyard and the Shapotou Scenic Area. It wasn't just the courtyard staff; other staff members at Shapotou were also excellent. They advised me on the most efficient way to explore, saving time and effort. Plus, all the activities in the scenic area were incredibly fun. Personally, the food, accommodation, and activities were all delightful surprises. I hope to come back with my family next time and stay for a few more days.

I stayed in an air-conditioned cabin without a private bathroom this time. It was cleaner than I expected. I'd recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops for the shared showers. Other amenities like toothbrushes and towels were disposable, which was great. Getting a taxi was difficult, but the host was incredibly thoughtful and came to pick us up. There was a bonfire party in the evening, and they set off fireworks like there was no tomorrow! Watching the stars and fireworks in the desert was absolutely beautiful!

We have good Chinese proficiency, but those with limited to none will be fine. If you stay near Desert Star, there’s a lot of people and campsites - that area seems like a bit of a tourist funnel. This area is located in the REAL sand dunes area. Further North, you actually cross into Inner Mongolia. The separation and distance is worth it. Makes for brighter stars and a more authentic experience. Third, the food. They were able to coordinate a whole lamb to be roasted for my birthday. It was absolutely extraordinary. The sides for it were some of the best I had on the entire trip - they have some skilled chefs there. This place has great reviews, and it’s worth it. I do recommend this to foreigners, and I hope I can return one day.
