The Kashgar Dawakun Desert offers an integrated experience of exploration and entertainment

It takes over 2 hours to get to Kashgar, with tickets priced at 40 yuan per person on-site and 36 yuan per person on Gaode. The sightseeing car charges an additional 10 yuan per person (Personal suggestion: If the weather is not hot, you can skip the ride), and it takes 3 minutes by the sightseeing car to reach the main entrance. The sightseeing car cannot take you directly inside; it's a 10-minute walk to get in. There's a lake inside with some water activities. ☀️ The desert is on the right side. To go into the desert, we chose to ride the desert vehicle 🚜. Do not go through the middle corridor bridge because the road is not passable, and you can only return the same way. There are no signs about the desert inside the scenic area, so it's unclear whether it's meant for playing in the desert or just for a park stroll. The desert vehicle 🚜 takes a bumpy 20-minute ride to the destination. It's quite thrilling and worth experiencing for the first time. The destination is just a few signs set up in the desert for photo ops. The sand sliding is unattended, with mostly broken sandboards for you to play with on your own. The main point is that they hardly slide at all! The desert sand is very fine and white, with many sand-fixing plants sporadically planted, so it doesn't give that endless pure desert vibe. Both the 5km and 10km routes pass through pure sandy seas, sand grass borders, alkali lands, and other different desert terrains, suitable for non-professionals to experience desert trekking The approximate trekking time for 5km is 2 hours The approximate trekking time for 10km is 4 hours The camp also offers desert team-building activity planning, desert panoramic restaurant dinners, song and dance performances, and bonfire parties It's about 120km from Kashgar city center, roughly a 1.5-hour drive by car 🚗 Whether Dawakun Desert is fun or not all depends on how you play Anyway, those who can trek in the desert or participate in a desert dinner are definitely the ones who know how to enjoy themselves.
